Game 2, IdrA is 1-0. HuK plays well late-game despite IdrA sporting a better position on Metalopolis.
IdrA sports like 20 Brood Lords, with Day[9] commenting that "I've never before seen this many brood lords in one game". HuK manages to take them out in a well played micro fight with his Stalkers, and Day[9] once again comments that "losing that many broods is going to make any Zerg speechless".
But IdrA plays well, HUGE macro, and ends up with a bigger army.
The massive Stalker count that killed the brood lords before are gone, and IdrA has broods again, plus infestors and other units. He's nearly maxed on three bases while HuK is struggling.
Then IdrA moves on HuK's vulnerable expansion, the only one left with enough minerals. He has three bases mining and is objectively winning.
Then HuK hallucinates like 7 void rays.
Then IdrA leaves the game without saying GG.
Then the chat erupts.
Then IdrA loses game 3.
Then garlicface lies to me.

Does anyone actually understand how these pools'n'brackets and stuff works? I am completely confused. When does the proper Ro32 tournament begin?

Are the players who are typing gg gl hf at start of games (i saw a few in the replays u can download) violating the rules? gg gl hf == friendly advice from huk to idra? Both are giving out good tidings for future use in luck and chance?

It wasn't, like I said, they blamed the ISP (LOL) for all their problems, never tested anything before the months of "work" to get this done (obviously) and then Sundance claimed it was just the main stage that was the problem.

Can anyone please upload the replay of Game 2 Idra vs HuK? MLG took it down from their site .

His supply was quite low (just over 100), and quite a bit of it was in drones.

Already started but in a weird way. 28 of the people are in losers bracket already so single elimination. 4 already in semifinals of winners bracket.

Why? If nobody is able to stop it you should always go ahead and do it imo and he had to play like 13 Bo3 so getting wins in 7-8 mins would make it less exhausting.
He's quite good at playing other strats as well but would you really want to do that if you keep winning with 4gate in such a long day.

What happened in game 3 for LZ versus cocoa?

Guys, its ok MLG brought out a moderately attractive girl to say, we are sorry to calm down all the angry nerds. It worked in south park, why shouldnt it work in real life?

You sure? I couldn't see on my own screen but Day9 said the supply counts were 182 for Idra to 155 for Huk.

Today really couldn't have gone much worse. Blame it on what you want, but it has to be regarded as an absolute disaster. I'm certain that heads will roll in the MLG board meeting next week.
I'll still support them though. This is their first event of the year and I expected it to be a little bumpy. (not this bumpy). I truly hope that they can turn it around in Columbus, for their sake. I don't want to think what a second catastrophe of this proportion would do to MLG.
As this has happened at every MLG tournament, I think it's about par for the course. that is a lie most MLG events go pretty smooth. is a one time event so far and you guys really need to layoff mlg. what if they decide the SC2 fanbase has too many cry babies and drops the game next year?(not saying they will) would that make you happy? if you don't like it just turn it off and go for a walk winter is over. Where have you been all my life.
if you think SC2 needs MLG then you would be completely wrong. MLG needs SC2 and when SC2 becomes the biggest competitive esports the world has ever scene MLG will be kicking itself because other leagues, GOM, NASL, Dreamhack,IEM, And whoever else comes along that has much bigger prize pools and better presentation. What would you do if you turned on the first weekend of ncaa march madness and you got to watch like 4 games out of a possible 48 and 2 of them from replay not live? there would be crazyness in most of the US.

BTW people are saying there were some insane problems with the stream? if thats true then I may have to think long and hard before buying my HD pass for Columbus. Acutally I think quite the opposite. They'll never let it happen again. Everyone was so freaking out since they had local ISP issues and they got nearly double the volume they were expecting. They won't let it happen again. Also if they can retain the viewership after this weeked it will be great for them for sponsorship. This is what I thought after the first MLG I watched.
It's also what I thought after the second MLG I watched.
Luckily I have a bit more sense than thinking it will be any different next time.

Ah, my bad. Still, the Broods would have hurt HuK bad, and IdrA could have quickly reinforced whereas HuK couldn't. IdrA, like I said, was in a winning position.

LZ defended a Banshee harass and just played better until it was an overwhelming advantage.

You are right, Idra had the supply advantage at somewhere like 182, he was nowhere near 100 supply on that final battle

but i wanted to really say was this is unacceptable from a professional organization to present a product this bad to its consumers who bring them revenue
