Isnt there some kinda rule about not being able to play random? Or is that another tournament?
You can play random, but you can't switch thru the whole tourney

Pretty good summary. In game 2, one thing DayJ mentioned was just the lack of Idra getting his 3rd up while roach pushing. He really did have kiwi's natural on the ropes there for a bit, but by the time his 2nd wave of roaches came, there were immortals to kill them and an obs to negate any burrow play, --yet-- he kept pushing.
The phoenix-lift micro in game 1 was pretty sweet though :D :D

Isn't the 4th round of the open winner's bracket tonight?

I think you shouldn't take everything he says so seriously

I'm not sure whether the winner's bracket winners will correlate directly to a group, but if they do here's some of the 'bigger names' contending for each group right now.
A: Huk, Strifecro, Kawaii, Hashe, Spades, Moonen B: Cruncher, OptikZero, Haypro, Response C: LZGamer, Catz, Pokebunny, Vibe, Naniwa D: Dde, Grubby, Jimmy

+ Show Spoiler + Game 1: Kiwi open with stargate Void + 4 phoenix to snipe some queens. Kill every queen and idra counter attack at the same time with lings, kiwi holds and a few minutes later counter attack and win.
Game 2: On testbug, idra get aggresive from 2 base with roach and burrow, kiwi gets an immortal out and hold the push. Idra gets a 3rd once he sees push didnt work, kiwi gets also his third, idra doesnt scout kiwi's 3rd until is working and fully ssaturated he rushes to take gold as fourth tpo compensate. Kiwi reaches a critical mass of stalker and since he lost all his sentries on initial roach push he drops a twilight council research blink gets 2-3 colossi out to make idra overdo corruptors, once blink finishes he moves out corruptors kill colossi and he micro with blink his huge ball of stalkers and win.

Kiwi has always had IdrA's number, ever since the beta. Nice to see IdrA take down Socke though (that guy is fucking good).

At one point he had a good shot at picking off the robo, and most of the sentries were dead. He made the decision to keep pushing and trying to kill the robo, but the second immortal came out and the push was over.
He decided to go for the kill, like july does. He hit a wall in a player that knows how to defend well, and lost, just like july sometimes does.
It's just a chance you take.

Why are we harping on people for having personality and the willingness to speak their mind? If everyone was super politically correct and just complimented everyone else the SC2 scene would be so boring and drama free. IdrA is genuine, he doesn't bullshit around and will say what he believes. Watching a badass like Idra or MC call out their opponents is what makes esports entertaining for me.

Can anyone confirm if there is a losers bracket or not in the open tournament, I cannot see it listed anywhere.
