This guy hacked Tyler's account. Tyler would never compliment MC
I have a dream, that some day I wouldn't see any imba comments in GSL threads.

Nothing said about lag. I'm sure all of you that are shedding tears love MC, so you should follow his example. (sorry if this was already quoted, I haven't read all the QQ)

MC will be complaining once he loses next round.

QXC was amazing that game. genius had nothing for him and his constant harassment/aggression

the key events from that game that caused qxc to win (and no not lag)

1) constant harass (doesnt matter if qxc only killed a few probes everytime, the fact that qxc was everywhere meant genius had to constantly retreat his army/pull probes/put back probes on minerals and gas. this affects a player more than you think..

2) relatively good emps the entire game, although i think the main point would be that whenever genius engaged, his ht were trailing his main army by a bit too much, so when they eventually joined the fray, most of his ground units were already wiped out by qxc's mm. Even though he did cast very good storms, ht without ground support will not win you the game

3) genius not ending the game when he was at +40 supply versus qxc. again i think the constant harass by qxc made it impossible for genius to move out. but if he had moved out, hed probably have ended the game right there.

4) better upgrades by qxc and overall better refined strat. he went into the game wanting to go into lategame, and went into the game knowing that drop and reaper harass will be very good on this map with the 4th base and the back end of the 3rd being quite far away from where a toss main army would be situated

you fail to take into account the free nexus snipe from the lag fields early game. Not saying it was game changing but he lost his timing he was going for with phoenix gateway.

I somehow fear for Nestea, the panzer may blitzkrieg, only gosu micro roaches shall Nestea hold and be the key to victory. Seriously Nestea I picked you to go far, show it us your detective skills.

I don't know why everyone is complaining about lag for both games, they switch servers every game so one game was on the NA server and one game was on the KR server, atleast that's what I remember hearing from Tyler on SOTG.

I think one keything that's getting missed is that for the foreigner the TSL is _everything_ and for the koreans probably just a "intresting tournament" and the main focus is ofcourse on the gsl.

Seriously we need more international tournaments / leagues. Foreigners are doing really well in the TSL however this is but a small sample. I wouldn't judge relative player's skills based on one bo3.

TSL: White dudes own koreans

TSL: LAG owns Koreans

I'm worried for Nestea, Zerg is by far the worst race to play with lag that he could even drop games to panzernoob

You're a retard. This lag everyone is talking about has not even shown. Especially in the second match of Genius and QXC, with Genius reacting pretty instantly to drops (even if moving his whole army to them was kind of silly.)

Also, can I ask how a fucking earthquake effects the latency? I've been reading into it and have found nothing to suggest that an earthquake would have the slightest impact on latency.

As has been said by many before
Korean wins: OMG THEY'RE SO GOOD
Korean loses: OMG BLAME LAG
Non-Korean in Korea loses: NEEDS MORE KOREAN TRAINING

Most people are stupid, and this debate proves it.

I agree that the lag complaining isn't helping anything, since there's nothing we can do about it.

However, being as ignorant as you are, is ridiculous, and is extremely childish. Calling people retards for stating facts? The lag is a fact.

On March 26 2011 12:08 DdoRo wrote:
ok, I talked to both koreans and european players about the lag issue.
there is almost no lag for EU players playing on the NA server, but Koreans actually have alot more latency than it seems they have.

two days ago, I tried to play with my korean friend on the NA server for 2s.
he was complainin alot about lag, he's forcefield went down like 1.5sec after he actually put it down

Also, in oGsMC's interview for TSL, he mentioned he went for colossi+void ray just to 1a, because he couldn't micro vs Ciara. Also, boxer and his gf mentioned about lag.

Guys you are talking about delay in seconds.... Let me put it into perspective.

When I was in Korea, ping to NA was 310-410 ms.

Accordingly to someone close to me in korea, since the japan earthquake its now almost double that.

I dont know what the seconds delay or whatever would be... I guess it would depend. But i'd say it effects those micro based players.
