HuK just got so lucky, obviously he can't micro against good player like Inca, choya is just a code A player, he's deserved where he is right now. HuK will get back to code A soon.

None of his ceremonies were bad mannered at all. They were funny and they had meanings but nothing to do with the people he was competing with. At the end of the day, it just contributes to the drama/interest of e-sports.

Seriously, lighten up.

Exactly. What's so cocky about a "stop bitching about the casters" ceremony? Or the heart ceremony (admittedly I haven't seen it yet)?

I mean, it's not like he crushed a coca-cola can after beating coca (which, btw, was awesome).

Some people dont do well under stress, Huk might be one of them, but he`s still in Code S, and some people will need to start talking less bullshit.

And poor Leenock. He deserves a place in Code S. I hope the kid doesnt give up, he`s talented.

I think what people are pissed off about was the "top 3 control in the world" line from Huk (which I personnally never heard directly, just hear-say on TL) and the "I'm going to be the next Lim Yo Hwan" line.

I think this is why people label him "cocky". I for one couldn't care less, he's in code S, good for him, time to prove everyone he has what it takes. And if he can't, well, does that mean he's bad? The only 2 foreigners who have shined in GSL *EVER* are Jinro and IdrA, maybe Sen to a lesser extent, so who here can say with a straight face Huk is bad?

They DO "do something" about it. If you get to the finals you get to choose your opponents.

I mean, hey, it sucks and all that Leenock got the most difficult group, but SOMEONE had to get it. Are you going to say the exact same thing when Sangho has to go up against Zenio and Boxer? Or Alicia against MVP and Genius? Do you think that Leenock could beat MVP and Genius if him and Alicia were switched? After all, he lost of Genius in the previous season.

Remember, Leenock is in this position in the first place because he lost against Genius and Rainbow in the group match last season, and then lost to both Byun and LiveForever in the up&down. This season he lost to Losira or he'd have been able to choose his opponents (and we assume he wouldn't have chosen Nestea and MKP because, uh, he's not crazy).

I guess my point is that at this point an argument can be made for more than the 32 players allowed in Code S. Not everyone is going to be able to make it in and in some cases it can be as a result of bad luck. However, every season is going to see more incredibly strong Code A players (perhaps Bomber next season?) pushing out some of the questionable Code S players. Very soon every up/down group is going to look rather stacked.

I do think Leenock would have murded Genius. That guy is a talented slacker, and leenock`s a talented hard worker.

You could be right and I'd have been happy to see that. I'm only saying this because Genius is one of the guys who put Leenock in Code A in the first place.

I fully expect him to get manhandled in his first Code S match, but kudos to him for making it at least. Hope he can step his game up, as it is lacking in several aspects.

He'd make a great TvP training partner for Jinro Im sure.

Huk is good enough for code s, he might not win vs guys like nestea but hes definetely good enough.

Huk is not good enough for code s. What's the point of being in code s if you're not in it to win it? He had trouble vs mediocre code a players. Everytime a foreigner loses it's because he "got a bad draw". What do you expect? To make it to the round of 8 by beating baddies? You're eventually gonna run into good players no matter what.

I personally don`t care for foreigners myself, but saying huk`s not good enough to be at least Code S is hilarious. The guy focus on the game is a testament to why he is worthy of the prize. Maybe, he`s not asian enough for you, maybe? Nao, he cant win Code S next Season, but he lost to LosirA, to me a better Zerg then Nestea. He lost against the winner of the tournament, what`s the shame about it? Squirtle lost to Socke and im pretty sure Squirtle is a much superior player. And by the way, Revival is a very great player. He fucked up, but he`s a great player. I firmly believe that he`ll make it to the round of 8 next season.

Some players grow with the competition that are around them. It`s called Evolving. Huk is probably more than able to evolve with the competition.

People praying on huk`s downfall just because they wish they had the chance to do the same thing. Sad stuff.

Hopefully these close victories and the expierence will give him more confidence in the booth, he will need it for Code S. I'm still happy that he made it though.
I don't worry about Leenock, that fella is still young, he is not quite there yet I think.

Well, at least having HuK is better than having Choya. That guy was always Code A material. Out of all foreigners however, I'd say huk is my least favorite. I used to like his playing style, but now he seems stuck on the same strats, and he has a tendency to cockyness which is not nice at all. We'll see how he performs in Code S, but I don't really see him going too far, probably third in his group.

As for leenock, now that's just sad, leenock is a superb player, he just got an incredibly stacked group. Best ZvZ player in the world followed by 2 time finalist of the GSL. Just epic bad luck there.

This interchange cracked me up.

Tasteless: It's always fun when you get to see somebody who's put on camera and they have to make that face of like well this is what I would probably try to want to look like if I was put on TV and I'm not entirely sure if it's the right face for me.

Artosis: That's not what I do Tasteless. I make a pistol with my hand and I point it at the camera. That's what I do. There's gifs of it.

I don't know why there is a lot of arguing going on about whether or not HuK is "Code S quality". Debating about it on this forum isn't going to change a thing. We'll all find out if HuK is Code S quality next season. Until then, any insults to HuK's abilities as a player are without grounds. It doesn't matter if he may have played poorly, all that matters is that he came out on top of Choya. Next season could be entirely different, just look at NesTea in GSL Season 1 and then compare it to NesTea in GSL Season 2.

Anyways, congratulations to everyone who advanced or remained in Code S. I'm very glad NesTea and MKP made it through, I am a big fan of both.
As long as people believe in absurdities they will continue to commit atrocities.

He's not asian enough for me? I don't have anything against white people. Jinro is a skilled, talented, humble guy. I like him. Huk hasn't proven anything special is all. I don't have anything against him personally (besides the stuck up attitude sometimes). Saying I wish I could have the same chance is a stupid insult. I play this game for fun, I'm not playing for a living. I couldn't care less about being a top player. For me personally, if he fixes the attitude and shows strong play, then I have no reason to not like him.

Yes, but thats the point of the post, he didn't win against some1 with 'code s' skill. so i think there are better players out there and arent in code s.

I like HuK, don't get me wrong, but I am a little concerned.

Does he have some sort of nerves preventing him from performing to the best of his abilities? I have always pictured him as a better player but from what he has shown so far he seems to be slipping. I could perhaps be being too critical, but he just seems to get walked over so much.

I watched all the games aside from where the stream crashed and it seemed like he was behind in every single one, the only one I saw him win was with the switch to DTs while he was behind for the win.

Again, I like HuK, I'm just concerned. Is he better than he is showing? Is he getting used to playing high profile matches?
