The thing is Losira has demonstrated that he knows how to deal with these small marine tank pushes. He gets enough roach baneling to halt it, cuts off reinforcements and then macros enough to rape it. The counter attack on crossfire was great and it shows he's really calm under pressure. Doesn't change the fact that supernova is snarfing it up big time.

A good way to counter mutas is to have a variety of AA units. Marines alone are not mobile enough and they take up a lot of supply that could be used in an attack or drop, their dps and limited mobility is great though. Mixing turrets and a few marines back at base is good early on. The range on vikings is great but their speed and dps can't take mutas on head to head, but you can put vikings over turrets or marines to shoo mutas away quite effectively. Thors aren't great against magic boxed mutas but marines rape magic boxed mutas while thors rape stacked mutas, so a few marines and a thor together can handle a lot of mutas. Mix it up with your AA options and you'll get a much result against mutas.

Metal is quite a good map if you don't get close spawns.
