Every time this thread is bumped I am giddy with excitement. When I see that the results from the qualifiers have not been posted my heart sinks. Can people stop playing with my heart?

I like rooting for the underdogs. If something interesting happened that could mean maybe painuser made it... I find it hard to say that huk didn't make it, but that could be a possibility :-(.

Or maybe Naama beating dimaga...

Don't worry ptbl, I imagine you are still fairly young its good exercise for your heart.

. On painuser's twitter he said that he's been training for MLG Dallas. The world championship directly conflicts with MLG, so I'm assuming painuser is out of the qualifiers. It leaves us with Huk, Fenix, and TT1.

I guess this clears things up then.

TT1 is currently staying at a pro-gaming house in Florida preparing for MLG. Congrats to Huk and Fenix!.. maybe heh

You are probably right. Congrats to your Peruvian mate. Le deseo suerte! (I wish him luck!) <-- I worry about how much spanish to trow around in this forums, as the ten commandments are scary.

Well it seems that the Qualifiers will be re-casted by Khaldor tomorrow. German only though I don't know about an English cast.

Translation of the news on www.mystarcraft.de (all in German) :

"It's been almost two weeks since GomTV announced their World Tournament. Now we can announce an exclusive German stream for you : On Friday the 18th, starting at 17:00 CET Khaldor will be casting the replays of the European, Asian and American qualification tournaments [...]"

http://www.mystarcraft.de/de/news/1497-gomtv-world-tournament-qualifikation-mit-khaldor/ <-- Link to the original news.

With no Idra or Tyler involved in this it is hard to see the World Team standing a chance, sadly.

Lol, this isn't Starcraft 1 bro, there aren't only 2 competitive foreigners anymore... Jinro and HuK are competing in GSL Code S, and mOOnGLaDe has shown himself up to scratch at IEM.

Yup.. and seriously, what has Tyler done in SC2 to deserve so much hype?? he's never won a single major tournament -- or even being close to -- since the beta..

This tournament is going to be epic! More hyped for this than tsl 3 because we get to see koreas vs foreigners with no lag.

He's beaten Jinro and Idra in show matches, has winning records versus them both in tourneys. He placed for at MLG Dallas, 6th at DC. He has a revolutionary PvT style and used to use a unique PvZ style.

And he was the 1st or 2nd best BW player, which DOES count for something.

This. Even with the lack of training hours compared to some other players, he can analyze players and the game better than anyone. If he had the dedication to practice that Huk has...it would be unsettling. Then again, He doesn't need to I'd like to see Huk vs Tyler... *squee*

although i like the idea of this world championship, i think the actual battle between the korean all stars vs the rest of the world will be an obsenely 1 sided slaughter fest. as long as korean team opens up with MKP, MVP, MC or Nestea i predict an all kill. There is just noone in the world who can take these guys down at the moment.

Okay, did he win any (big) tournaments? Not that I know of. Neither did IdrA (most overrated player, imo)

You're wrong, IdrA won MLG DC in 2010 and has been consistently qualified in every GSL tournaments he participated in, no small feat.

Last night Tasteless pointed out that the World Team League series would be free; does that mean they're giving us free access to the high-quality stream and vods for promotional purposes, or will we be using the usual free LQ stream without a pass?
