"Cheapshot" implied malicious intent, and I don't see that in any of those pics (as opposed to degrading the match by accusing MC of throwing games). People can have bad sense of humor, why don't you be a bigger man and just ignore it? If you don't say anything, how will people know it's wrong and in poor taste? Why is having bad taste in humor "wrong" exactly? It's wrong for you because you don't find it funny, but what place do you have to not let other people have their fun, tasteful or otherwise? How is disagreeing with someone wrong? How is having a cordial debate wrong? It isn't. Don't you see? I'm glad to see that you have come around to see my point of view . I think you got your logic backwards sir. I was asking why is what they are doing wrong, and now you are asking why is disagreeing with you wrong. Neither the bad humor or disliking/disagreeing with the bad humor is wrong. It's the internet. True, having a civilized debate is important, but I think we can all agree that the edited pictures were done in poor taste. In poor taste, yes. That doesn't mean however that anyone can decide whether or not anyone is allowed to think it's funny. Actually yes we can? What on earth makes you think we can't decide that. Did you read the 10 commandments cause that would be a good idea. As for all the distasteful stuff going on in this topic, we haven't had time to go over it but we'll talk about what our stance will be on it. Could be a lot of bans coming up. You can decide whether or not images are appropriate. If not appropriate people should and most likely will get banned for it. Seeing as no mod has banned anyone for making those (in bad taste) pictures, apparently they are deemed appropriate.
Whether or not they're funny is a completely different story. I personally don't care for them but I'm not going around telling people they shouldn't like them, because that's anybody's own personal decision.
And yes, I have read the 10 commandments, and none of them say "you shall agree with the moderators' sense of humour".

1. THIS IS OUR HOUSE
If we decide something is not funny then we may warn/ban for it. As is the case with retarded memes, macro pics and other dumb jokes already.

If before you make a post you think "how will the mods react to that", instead of "how the community will react to that" you shouldn't be here.

Anyways, there's probably other places to take a discussion about moderation besides this thread. This should be about basking in the glow of Jinro.

Would've definetly prefered a BW style group play (OSL style that is) for the RO16 or just BO3 single elim. 2x group stages was too much imo

ro16 groups A and B only had players from ro32 groups A, B, C, and D and ro16 groups C and D only had players from ro32 groups E, F, G, and H. So if you do the ro8 pairings by having ro16 group A players play players from groups C or D, there'd be no way they could've played before. No rematches would happen until ro4.
If that makes any sense

It makes me cringe, every fucking time. cosigned, it really makes the population here look like a bunch of kids who can do nothing about being bullied cept venting on the internet. it's fucking pathetic I also got a warning for my post. I come from Quake community so when I got into SC2 community it was almost like hitting a brick wall. I was amazed how different those communities are. The amount of shit spouting, bad mannering (whatever you want to call it) among the Quake/FPS players/admins/teammates is astounding yet no one is overreacting, pouting. I have to agree with Idra, so many people get butt hurt about things that are so trivial. Nobody is forcing you to be here. If you disagree with our moderation policies and standards, you are free to create and post on your own forum with your own rules that are less restrictive.

Maybe match winner/runner ups of group A with those of group C? and B with D? Instead of A/B and C/D

I was looking it over, and it seems to be, since they basically take each groups pairings by cutting the group in half ABCD EFGH
condensed into AB(comprised of ABCD) and CD (comprised of EFGH)
then into round of 8, they just need to switch up the pairings
A v C (both winners and losers, on opposite halves of the bracket) B v D (both winners and losers, on opposite halves of the bracket)
this keeps double jeopardy from happening until ro4, the earliest it could be prevented
Instead they did
A v B C v D
guaranteeing double jeopardy, and no way for people to float between both halves until the finals, which is a bit too rigid

All the Jinro fans who wanna kick a guy when he's down (by supporting the p-shopped picture), have you considered that by doing so you're basically showing you have less class than Jinro? Even Tychus (Tasteless) Findlay doesn't kick dirt on a friend when he's down (although he shoots a disabled Dominion marine in the face).
Speaking of not having class, I'm enjoying that ending song for Code S. Didn't think I'd ever be okay with something made by a boy band.

You don't necessarily have to have a linear draw progression out of the R16
I don't think there'd be anything wrong with something like:
top half of bracket
winner group A vs r/u group D winner group B vs r/u group C
bottom half of bracket
winner group C vs r/u group B winner group D vs r/u group A
You can still maintain a winner meets runner up progression, but just by swapping sides of the bracket you avoid direct rematches.
