You can be rated 18th and still end up as the lowest seed in your greep if the 3rd seed is 17th. So the only one you can blame is NaDa for picking such a group and end up as 3rd seed rather than 4th. A good example of such bad luck would be Group D. A Rain (6th) C Kyrix(16th) B Choya (17th) D Tester(19th)

Your description of Nada can be applied to Idra or Ret (except counter-attacking rather than attacking) and they're considered two of the best. His decision making is pretty good, while his first attack on MC I think was intentionally timed to wipe out all of the sentries before any Collossi arrived and it really hurt MC and likely delayed his push. MC just controlled the game. I was actually really impressed with Nada's play against Inca and Inca's first game was sick. I think if Inca improves his mechanics he could vie for one of the top Protoss spots. His build order was brilliant, and I think if he didn't attack up the ramp during the contain he might have won. No I don't think his decision making was good at all in several instances. I managed to catch the games (vs oGsMC and 1 game vs Inca) and I was screaming in my head many times "What the hell are you doing?" before the many times he decided to attack and terribly failed within seconds. If I could have guessed the outcome of those skirmishes, so should Nada, and if he did, well, then, you saw what happened. I never said anything about him not being one of the best, if anything I acknowledge him as the most successful and most consistent BW player of ALL TIME. In fact I was such a fan of his before seeing the games today, and I was terribly disappointed. Even though he made it through his group, I was not impressed at all. I guess that's why I prefer to watch players like SlayersBoxer and JulyZerg, whose innovations are ahead of their time. They don't have to win games to win my heart and support.

The 3rd seed is still easier (in theory) to advance from than the 4th. The 3rd seed has two possible matchups depending on how the group unfolds. Either he plays everyone once or he plays 1st once and 2nd seed tiwce to determine who moves on. The 4th seed on the other hand plays everyone or 1st seed twice and 2nd seed once. So overall it works out to be a pretty fair system

Some of his attack decisions were not very good, but he's also extremely good at map control and scouting, and understands how to choke out his opponent. Against MC, the bad attack decisions cost him but MC is probably one of the few players that can match his macro ability. Still, I'm very glad to see NaDa advance and overall that was a great set of matches, and a great job by Tastosis and the observer.

Just a regular old baneling all-in but hey it's July and on top of that a Zerg player so it's awesome... Btw, love how everyone says NaDa played bad and give MC no credit like NaDa was supposed to win :D

That's exactly what I thought too, because the SCV was there catching a glimpse of that drone about to make a hatchery. The camera panned away before we could be sure if that SCV did see the drone morphing into a hatchery, but there's no reason why JulyZerg would fake an expansion if his opponent didn't even know anyway. Little mind games and stuff like that are what make JulyZerg so awesome to watch.

Suddendly a baneling bust or a DT rush is the smartest strategy in the world. And so many people agree, while everyone hates Terrans for doing similar stuff. Well atleast they gave Rain some credit for the fake 2rax into banshee play he did in the last gsl finals. DT rush into blink stalker is not cheese, he just played it out right. And it is not similiar at all to the typical 2-rax rush seen from many terrans. Cannon rush, proxy gateway, proxy stargate. That's protoss cheese.
