For the first one, we ended up having 20+ teams show up and streaming for 9+ hours! We then decided that perhaps we would do a 2v2 KOTH again some time. That time has now come. We've been getting a lot of pm's and messages so here is: Thunder's 2v2 KOTH #2.

WHAT: 2v2 games. Best of 1. Winner stays.
Restrictions: Please be platinum or preferably diamond ( this can apply to your individual rank/league or hopefully your 2v2 partnered team)
Prize: Nothing monetary since this is just for fun. HOWEVER.... should you win 3 in a row you may get the chance to face THUNDERTOSS and whoever my 2's partner is (probably baozi) live on stream (and Ascend will cast solo). *depends on the schedules of whoever my partner would be*
Procedure: since this is a KOTH we can not tell you exactly when you will play. However, unlike our normal (top 200) koth, we aren't really concerned with having too many mirror matches. Thus, we plan to run straight through the signups. You can message either

about 30 minutes before the start of the event. We will then put you sequentially on the list unless you have certain time constraints. We will try to message you before your games/ let you know a game ahead of time. Please be punctual. When you are told you are on deck for the next game I would suggest that you stay available (maybe tune in to the stream and see who you are going to be up against?) and not be in game.

Looking forward to casting this tonight, if nothing else it's a change of pace from the typical 1v1 KotHs. Can't say I've ever seen a 2v2 KOTH actually.

oh man. i didn't think that many people were going to show up based on the posts in the thread (not that the sc2 tournaments tab is where the 2v2 players always frequent knowing how many 2v2 tourney's there are...) but MAN o MAN. that blew me away. That was a lot of fun. Thanks to all 58 of you who came and played in the koth. that was 9 1/2 hours straight casting of 2v2. I'm happy to see that there's that much interest out there. 2v2 is significantly harder to cast with so much going on and not being able to predict strats very easily but i think we will be doing this again. again make sure you check out the 2v2 RESOLUTION tourney coming up soon.
