But its actually only if you go to Gymnasium isn't it ? Or Realschule
you only have to learn new languages at the gymnasium. expect for english...everybody has to learn english :D

Honestly, with the job market in the US at this point, I feel like I'd be making more money teaching Korean than doing anything with Math ((

Speaking like being fluent or speaking in I have had those languages in school? If it's the first, then mad props too you, but this is of course not common in germany, there are not many people who can have a conversation in 4 different languages here. If it's the second, that's obviously true, that's normal for a Gymnasiast in germany. But it is still misleading, since just listing all the languages I have learned at some point for some time(that would be 5+german) barely tells anything, because I sure as hell cannot have a conversation in czech or latin
Don't feel too bad americans, besides english, most people don't know another foreign language on a decent level either.

Demand for Russian has gone down since the government doesn't have to worry about the USSR. :\

It's the same for everyone. If you dont speak/read/practice a language you will forget it easily if you hadn't really mastered in the first place. I studied german for 5 years and i remember the basics and can understand written stuff but wouldn't handle any kind of conversation anymore.

I just think Haypro does have a way too closed mind. The rest is talking so much more easily. I think his personality also blocks him in his progress in the game, can't put my finger on it but I just feel it.

ok..srsly... I don't even care in what language dimaga casts

Please don't turn this into discussion about education. Probably in every European country a teeneger that enters highschool have already at least 2 foreign languages, too bad it doesn't look same in US, but... who cares? It's SC2 thread T_T

I consider myself a "normal high school student" and i have to take spanish as my second foreign language. I would prefer Russian or Chinese or something but the german schoolsystem i f*cked up.
