On behalf of FXOpen, I'd like to congratulate QXC, not only did you go through the upper brackets unscathed, but you also truly impressed many people.
Kiwikaki and sen, I will never forget probably 2 of the games you guys played against each other, they were absolutely epic, and the game play was second to none (except QXC of course).
Congratulations to the newly formed FXOpen team (FXO), the loveable Sheth, moonglade, optikzero and Filthy, all representing FXOpen in a great manner. And all were equally excited to watch the finals matches. It was truly inspiring.
I must say, a HUGEEEEEEEEEEEEE thanks to deL, unstable and frequency. A very smooth, and extremely high calibre event run by some extremely professional guys. I know how hard it is to run an event, so congratulations.
To all the viewers, there was some interesting times in the chatroom, thank you for making the weekend eventful, thank you for supporting our event, and we look forward to bringing you another one in the beginning of January.
In the meantime, please do watch the vods, if for anything, they are truly entertaining.
We will hopefully be announcing a few interesting things in the new year.
To all gamers out there. Merry christmas, Happy holidays, keep safe, keep well, and keep gaming!
Sincerely,
All the team @ FXOpen.

Wow watched a few of those VODS, AMAZING production and, seems like this is a solid tournament. Would definitely love to see this one again.
I think you've heard of him, his name is QXC, I wasn't too impressed with QXC in previous games I've seen[BETA], but it seems like he's really stepped his game up. Oh and Sen is Sen so, can never count him out heh.
GJ!

any replay pack coming out ?
|
there are some vods on youtube. Ummmm, www.youtube.com/unstabletv i think it is. Rest will be put up soon. We will release replays with our website sometime in the new year.
|
I hope this tournament grows, I watched just a few of the games live due to bad timing for me but they were AWESOME!
I will definately check out the vods.
Seemed very well organised even though the brackets confused the hell out of me at first glance. The stream was also lagfree and great quality, good good stuff.

You can deny expansions much more easily than on metalopolis cross-position. Sen could have played a little better but that 3 pronged attack by qxc was really good. I'll download that replay for sure. Its funny that way, I think its because shakuras plateau is so big that the 3rd base for zerg is relatively far away so the creep highway doesnt quite reach it at the normal 3rd base timing, unlike on Metalopolis where the 3rd is really close and easier to defend.
It s not as close as Metalopolis for sure but I think with good creep spread you should be able to close the gap at a pretty decent timing.
I also think that this wasn't the problem at all it was more of a lack of switching tech by zerg.

Its my belief that players adapt to the situation they are in. And if the adaptation fails then they fall behind.
I am pretty sure every player has practiced every map at least enough to know the creep spread parameters. Its just how well your opponent knows that necessity, and the pressure they put on you to prevent it from happening. Thats what starcraft is all about

Hopefully we can run an event in the European timezone, though it would be an awkward time for us mostly being based in Australia. Not sure how far we are getting into the European scene right now though maybe someone else can comment on it - I just run the tourneys
|
European timezones dont go well with the north american server. We will always invite european players to our invitationals, as they are great players. But whether or not they play (sometimes 5am) is another thing.
We may host a european server tournament sometime in the future via our russian team.

please release the replays ASAP. If you wait until new year, it will be obsolete because the new patch will probably come out.
btw, i'm shocked no one mention azz 2-0'd huk.
|
Huk was apparently having lag issues. But it still would have been a feat.
Replays will be up ASAP.

Replays will be up ASAP. Azz should have the same delay as HuK, Australia is about the same distance from the US and we have worse internet too
