The North American 1v1 Tournament for Starcraft.Reddit.com
The SCReddit Open is the official 1v1 NA tournament for and by the Starcraft community at Starcraft.Reddit.com. Every week, 128 Redditors compete for glory, medals, and a chance to win prizes. Started right after the launch of Starcraft II, the tournament is designed to provide a fun but competitive venue for Redditors to compete. Notable casters include Moletrap, Diggity, and SchickySC. Loved the Destiny co-cast. Another example of how people's reputation is mainly purported only through their followers and rarely by actually how they conduct themselves.
My only gripe is it would be pretty amazing if the Obs was decent. It seemed your prod-guy was doing it? And most of the time he missed some crucial drops or was busy looking at gas saturation when the casters were trying to show people the ledge abuse spots, proxy positions etc.

I think you guys should change your prerequisites for playing. Forcing people to have an account/post on your website is kind of a hassle. I get that u guys want to generate traffic n all but its really an inconvenience just to play in a tourny

Its more of the fact that they want you to have a 20 post karma (from the sounds of it i assume it means atleast 20 posts on their site). All i wanna do is quickly sign up for some tournament, not have to spam 20 posts. ><

The tournament isn't being run to gain large numbers of viewers, it's being run for the Reddit community. Ideally, no one but committed Reddit users and community members would play in these tourneys but if you want to join, at least make a minimal effort to reach out to Reddit.
