Well I recall Tasteless mentioning lessons on obsing given for $300 an hour... So if somebody is charging that for obsing lessons, then obsing is clearly something that the koreans take seriously. So it's understandable that they have a damn good observer.. "Why can't they just follow the korean obs?" I think you'd regret that statement if it actually became reality... It would probably be kind of like trying to steer a car from the passenger side, with somebody else controlling the pedals. Granted it's possible to commentate when you're not observing.. but when the observer is not focusing on the same things you are, not thinking at all along the same lines often, not going at the same pace you are, etc etc, I can't see things going so smoothly.. If they had their own independent talented observer who understood english and was listening to them cast as he observed, then it might work.. But for there to be no relationship and no communication between commentators and observers? I don't think you understand how rough that could get at times..

When they miss something once in a while, that's understandable, mistakes happen. But when it happens so often, it gives the impression that they (mainly Tasteless) don't understand the game at all. Up until now, I haven't heard Tasteless add insightful comments. Give your brother a call, he'll help you out. Other comments or examples of unprofessionalism: - Tasteless gargling powerade, like wtf? - Nobody wants to hear the same thing over and over again about the supply depot placed next to the refinery or behind the mineral lines, we get it - Stop calling viewers noobs - Obvious biased commentary - First season, Tasteless asked Artosis what the hotkey for the production tab was. As far as i know, it's not that hard to learn what the few hotkeys are, especially when you are paid to commentate! - Artosis kept calling BoxeR "Fake Boxer" in his face, which i find pretty insulting. He's got skills, he can use the ID BoxeR if he wants. Seriously though, who wants to use an ID with Fake in it? - Shameless EG or handsomenerds plugs. Can they do that? lol Either way i don't like it. Seems like tasteless cares about everything but to give great commentary for GSL. I know he's working hard to find a house in Korea for EG, but if I was in his shoes, i'd make GSL and learning the game my top priority. Not fired for lack of professionalism > finding a house, any day of the week for me. I just don't see how he benefits from staying on team EG, based on his understanding of the game, he's probably just an average player. - and so on lol, can't remember everything. anyways, just posting this and hoping that tastosis do see it, I like them but anymore of this bs and i'll be hoping that they get replaced. I think Artosis and Tasteless are doing a fine job at commentating... yes they sometimes miss important stuff (e.g. canceling of Nexus in Sen's last game on Blistering Sands) but overall they are definitely knowledgeable about the game and are great at commentating the GSL. I think you're so fixated on them being 'bad' that you just ignore everything they do right, which is almost everything IMO.

Don't like that no map veto. It makes it more random, and gimmicky. Expect to see lots of Zergs all inning on steps.

(Game was on Xel'Naga, forgot the players) Being able to show what you are talking about is more useful than you may think. And if you compare Tasteless' observing to Season 1 ro64, you'll actually see how much better it got. And it's actually Artosis' job to provide tactical insights.

Sen had 2 bases completely saturated and he made enough roaches to hold. Outstanding. >_> I don't understand, are you trying to say Sen got a free trip to the RO32 or something?

Damn, I thought I caught a break when they moved the (korean evening) start time to an hour later.. Now it's been negated Arizona doesn't observe Daylight Savings time either so nothing changed for me (GSL Wise) everything else is screwed up, like TV programming! On November 23 2010 06:40 0neder wrote: I agree that Tasteless is a MUCH better commentator when he doesn't have to observe. Anyone would be. I really think he could reach his full potential if they just used the Korean observer and he could devote 100% of his time to saying funny stuff. Do you not remember Jason Lee commentating when he was around they were using the Korean observer and it was virtually impossible for them to do a good job because they never knew where the screen was going to jump to. edit: Dandel Ion beat me to the punch!

Or not... Oh lol now there's banshees out, didn't see that coming" (Game was on Xel'Naga, forgot the players) Being able to show what you are talking about is more useful than you may think. To be fair they didn't use the proper Korean observer. They used some extra that was using an English client. He wasn't very good at all compared to the real Korean observer.
