I wont say x race is OP or UP, but that numbers dont say anything, there was so many "skilled" zergs and terrans against a lot of unknown protoss, and the ones that didnt make it today lost to in my opinion to better player (Based in results and performance, i just follow GSL, so is my only way of comparing skills). Anyways, hope to see more Protoss in the next GSL and less terrans ![]() Only reason their unknown was because their race is setting them back. Like NesTea, for example.

We're talking about ~1500 players that try to qualify. I'd say that's a large enough sample to have at least some statistical relevance. Not really. it wasn't even like a tournament that had any prerequisite to it, was invitation, was "diamond only". Anyone can show up and play, diamond players through bronze. I bet of that 1500 there are probably 500 of them that have no right being there.

Yea, and that only makes your argument weaker, since Zerg was the least played but had the highest win %.

I think he'll continue to do poorly next year and be one of the first players to get knocked out of S-Class. It's surprisingly easy to NOT qualify for the GSL. Seeing as he does have S-class, we'll be seeing more of him eventually and THEN we can judge him. Unless you saw his qualifier matches, I don't think you safely say he played poorly at all...

What's depressing is that of 64 players to qualify, only 12 are protoss. Including two of the best Korean Protoss (Inca/Tester) and two of the best foreign protosses (HuK and Kiwikaki) don't qualify. I hate balance arguments, and I've often complained that the talent pool for Protoss is lower- but at this point, I'm not sure anymore. It's not surprising to me that Roaches get a buff, and zerg dominates the next qualifiers (27 zergs qualify, compared to 23 terran and 12 protoss). Sadly, the imba arguments are starting to get some weight behind them imo.
