Oh, I was wondering why there's so many Zergs. Set 1 : Xel’Naga Caverns Set 2 : Metalopolis Set 3 : Scrap Station Scrap Station was in the map pool last GSL qualifier as well.

You balance games around the idea that anyone has an equal chance of winning. How skillfull players are in comparison can never be determined objectively. Race distribution: Terran : 39.5% Protoss : 33% Zerg : 23.9% Random : 3.6% Qualified: Terran: 37.5 % Protoss: 18.75 % Zerg: 42.2 % Random: 1.55 % Only 23.9% of players participating in qualifiers players were Zerg, after qualifiers 42.2% of the players remaining were Zerg. You don't have to be an expert in statistics to see that this is well out of the margin of error.

Although it has to be noted that there has been 2 patches after that and people discover new things and improve over the 2 seasons so what was/was not balanced 2 months ago might not be the same now.

Talk about random! From 3.6% to 1.55% - worst results, even worse then toss, Blizzard please fix random!

I wont say x race is OP or UP, but that numbers dont say anything, there was so many "skilled" zergs against a lot of unknown protoss, and the didnt make it today lost to in my opinion better player (Based in results and performance, i just follow GSL, so is my only way of comparing skills). Anyways, hope to see more Protoss in the next GSL and less terrans ![]() I don't think it's the amount that's wrong, the problem I think was the qualifier pool. As Zerg you just have to practice Xel Naga which is a fairly balanced map, and regardless of how Metal went you had Scrap Station to fall on... Which TvZ I'm still of very mixed opinion... but PvZ... Looks pretty bad.
