But those are the rules, and let's just please shut the hell up about it. Write a letter to MLG, or make a thread about it, so they can fine tune their format for the next season. This has been going on for like 60 pages now. I know, right! Its really REALLY turning off. Please stop this pointless discussion about something everyone knew even before going into the TORNEY. Actually if they had done the rules properly, it'd be one extended series(that could knock the WB player into the loser's bracket) and one more Bo3 with both players in the loser's bracket that knocks the other player out of the tournament.
The main issue is that they aren't following their rules properly.

I thought this was funny that's not the complaint dude... /facepalm the complaint isn't that it didn't give jinro a "bigger advantage" it's that it gave him a SMALLER advantage than he would have if the rule simply didn't exist. But if rule didn't exist, LIQUID`Nony would have had a unfair chance to knock out PainUser (2-1 but PainUser is 3-2 total) you people just don't understand how double elim works ask ANY TOP PLAYER, they will tell u how a standard double elim tournament works, and why it's fair and this isn't. that's if you will actually listen. there's already been threads on this, most people just continue to argue but don't listen or just can't seem to grasp it. I think ppl know how it works, the complaint is that Jinro needs to win 2 games against the 3 games TTOne has to win. If their first BO3 wouldn't count it would be an average of 2.5 games for Jinro against 4 for TTone. That makes it 1 : 1.5 compared to 1 : 1.6 where the second one would be better for Jinro, what it should not, imho.

Can we appreciate that both PU and Jinro were B+ish players at best in BW, right? Not trying to short their accomplishments, but it is something to note, especially when compared to other players' successes in BW.
SC2 might allow for more success based on player mentality and vision than mechanics, which gives scrubs like me hope.

Could anyone please explain to me the extended series thing? In their previous encounter Jinro beat TT1 2-1. So why does Jinro need to win 2 games and TT1 needs to win 3 games to win?

I thought the first map was supposed to be blistering sands.

You do realise that Painuser lost to someone else in the WB right? That's why they are both in the LB. I mention this since people simply ignore this in their posts. Why should PU's score from his loss in the WB matter less than Tyler's score in the WB? Answer that at least if you are going to post your opinion.
