People like aggression and cheese from time to time. But where complaints arise is that every game IdrA plays in a foreigner tournament (hell, arguably GSL to) is him getting cheesed. At a certain point you just want to see a standard match.

Maybe he shouldn't be such a macro-oriented player then. If someone is strong in a certain aspect, you hit him where he's weak. This is common sense. When the cheese stops working, there won't be cheese.

Idra has the unfortunate distinction of being widely known as a macro player. I don't think it makes him any worse at dealing with cheese/early all-ins than other players, but it does give other players the idea that having powerful early game is the way to deal with Idra.

As is, the game is still young. All-in/cheesy strategies are still being discovered and as such, you can't really expect pro players to deal with it 100% of the time. Idra just has to keep on playing. He's a great player, and so is Select.

If i saw a zerg FE on DQ i'd go all in cheese aswell too. Cant even blame SelecT for it, IdrA was asking for it.

What would IdrA do if he scouted a Terran expanding at 14 with no barracks? Probably go all in with cheese.

Did he even see the FE? or just notice the close positions on the map and throw that second rax down?, On the flip side idra needs to be more flexible he just loves his 2 hatch mutas :/

he didn't need to see the FE when the assumption that Idra would FE was very likely correct

Idra is just predicting too much and is playing too standardly. FE every single game, ofc you're gonna get cheesed. He really should scout more, especially since nobody wants to go into a long macro game against him. I've seen him lost 3 match ups in the last couple of days, every time was due to all in attacks or cheeses.

How did HDStarcraft do? I can't find any mention of his results.

He lost 0-2.

He's not bad though. He would've won if he was microing his units.

He lost 0-2 to KingSpades (24 seed, I dunno anything about him).
In Loser's bracket, HDStarcraft ran into some dude who didn't show, so he didn't get to play someone more on his level .
Then next in Loser's bracket, HD Starcraft ran into EG.Inka, and lost 2-0.
