I believe the idea is that you should at least contribute something in a thread. Some idea, opinion etc rather than just type one sentence of sarcasm.

ok thanks , now i know what was my fault

Anyone have any idea what is going on? :| This tourney is stacked I wanna watch !

Xeris is the one incharge of this. It's was his birthday, so chances are you might no see any info till tomorrow. Matches will probably be postponed to a different time.
|
Might have been a good idea not to schedule the tournament for the day of his birthday, don't you think?
This is a huge shame, but I somehow still pray that Xeris will make this work since the line-up is top notch.

Shouldn't have everything dependent on one person. Any tournament needs to have at least three people in charge making sure everything is running smoothly. Root gaming has been rooted.

Yo guys. It was my birthday yesterday, I'm spending time with my gf, I'm not online at all hours of the day. HOWEVER, have no fear.. everything will run nicely :p
The winners + losers game will be scheduled (I'm going to pm players about it) for the coming week, the reason being (obviously) not everyone played their first match due to several players in this tournament being in the GSL and leaving for Korea this weekend. As such, some first matches still need to be played.
Going to have a recast of all the first matches this week too, expect the winners + losers games next weekend, then the ro16 will start.
Have patience folks, despite me having a real life this week, I am setting enough time to SC to get this all done! Thanks for understanding ~~

Happy Birthday :D
looking forward to seeing some of the games.

Results in the op updated. PM'ing players and such now!

Looking forward to the rest of this tourney! some awesome matchups on the way :D

jesus i really wanted to get some info about the game of killer vs dimaga to make some coverage of our chilean gamer fighting but there is absolutely nothing... And it's amazing the lack of information.

what information do you want that's not provided on root's website or here ? o-o;;

Some constructive criticism: what appears to have happened is that the visitors at the TL website and perhaps also some of the participants, were confused as to the format of the competition. For one, I was under the impression this tournament was going to take place or be casted like the EG weekend or the MLG, where people would sit for a few hours and it would wrap itself up over the course of a day or 2. When I saw the stream was offline despite the games having been announced to begin yesterday, I wasn't quite sure what was happening. When I went to the root gaming websites, the information was also not obvious to find. We are all just excited to see some good games between these players. A post explaining the set up how we can expect this to unfold is all that's needed, imho.
Anyway. Happy birthday Xeris!

a complete schedule is posted in the thread @ Root's website, not sure how that's confusing... however your criticism is noted! anyways, don't worry folks

EDIT - Nevermind, I missed the last post in the thread. Thank you Xeris, can't wait to watch these games.

People expected a clear schedule of who played against whom and when, preferably with brackets, dates and a clear overview of the rules - is the first round BO1? which maps have to be played? etc. And also a casting plan á la "game 1 is casted at 11:00 by Day9, game 2 is casted at 13:00 by someone else".
What we got was an OP here on TL with nothing but a banner and groups with some player names; no brackets, no schedule, no clear tournament rules. The thread on root-gaming did provide some more information, but was still less clear regarding the general conditions compared to other recent tournaments.
Anyway, I hope you had a nice birthday and I'm looking forward to some amazing games and an interesting tournament coverage.

Thanks for the feedback. The reason things weren't as clear is because it's difficult to coordinate all these players especially given different servers, regions, and a handful flying over to Korea for GSL. I think for a tournament such as this its easier to play it a bit more freely, especially in the early rounds.
