Going MMM is okay but if you do it every single game and still come out victorious it doesnt feel satisfying to watch.

Should he go hellion/thor against toss?

Mass battlecruisers!
No, he shouldn't. If he's winning he should stick to what he's doing and win using it. Here's the thing though -- it's going to be hard for him in the long run to become a super popular player if he uses more simplistic and unexciting tactics. For example, take TLO. In a span of months he went from a nobody in SC2 to the darling of the entire foreigner community. Why? He exhibited insane builds and creative play that really got people excited. If he played MMM every game do you really think he'd have anywhere near the amount of fans he does now?

He's playing against toss. Mech is garbage against toss. His army is going to be MMM, just like toss army is going to be gateway units + colossi. Diversification comes later.

Sure, he could throw in some ghosts but he would weaken his forces substantially by not getting medivacs first. You might notice terran doesn't have regenerating shields.

way to completely ignore select's incredible micro and decision-making! please refrain from making comments if you don't know what the fuck you're talking about. i realize that applies to 99% of you and there's no way i can enforce it, but i'll sure as hell try

You are giving alot of people on here so little credit. I think most can see Select's incredible ability, its just a minority that find it boring.

Just out of curiosity can anyone explain how the casting works at something like this? It looks like Day9 and WHeat are sitting right next to the players

That advice sort of doesn't work for Protoss. We've seen protoss sticking to their "core", and getting @#$%ing crushed. Which is fine. Excited to see how the game evolves!

Nony lost because he played worse, not because Protoss units aren't good enough.

I just don't get why you can't complain about boring MMM-tactics AND appreciate selects play at the same time?

I mean, I think select is one of the very best terrans in the western hemisphere when it comes down to micro....but still I find his gamestyle/overall-concept very predictable and boring; why does everything has to be black and white? why must it always come to either be 100% in favour or 100% against a player? there are aspects I admire about select's play and aspects I don't like; same goes for pretty much every player; what's wrong with that?

if those games weren't interesting to you simply because they featured a bio ball (reading this post of yours i don't think that's the case for you, but certainly for others here) then you (using the term "you" loosely here!) are missing out on incredibly important aspects of this game and simply seeing 'well he made some marauders', that makes you a bad player and "you" should keep quiet!

I fail to see how me having a supposedly "Greater understanding" of the game would change my opinion of the games i saw, i think its an elitist argument on a base level and on a greater level its not really a counter at all to what im saying, its sitting in the camp of "well you just wouldnt understand, its a bit over your head". I have said again and again that just because i thought the game was boring doesnt mean intrinsically it was to anyone else, but im allowed to have my opinion regardless. I appreciate his micro and i think he deserved the victory, but so far as being a spectator is concerned if the whole tournament was like that then id be sorely dissapointed.

Basically for everyone who are confuse about the bracket, the winner of select/kiwikaki series will play huk and the winner of that series will play idra in the grand final

link:http://www.megaupload.com/?d=VCWQPYW9

hope to see kiwikaki wining huk and play against idra in the finals

Again you can have that opinion all you want, but if feels like you're trying to bash people over the head with it. You've had a ton of posts in the last few pages complaining about it.

Because of the extended series rule, if Huk goes to the finals he'll be down 2:0 vs Idra. I much rather see Select goes to the finals now.

IdrA would still only need to win 2 games versus Select to win it all, as Select has already been eliminated once.

...And you can thank NonY for that!

It's a little different, Select can go LWWLWW vs Idra and win, but Huk would lose 2-4.

Select needs to win 2 series against Idra to win the tournament

Schedule? Now you're just being ridiculous

Anyone want to take a guess (or a bet/raffle) on the exact time the IdrA vs. ____ Grand Finals will start, assuming commercial and food breaks?
