It's a little different, Select can go LWWLWW vs Idra and win, but Huk would lose 2-4.

is there a schedule for this tournament somewhere? I can't find it on the MLG site D:

Actually if Select plays Idra in the Grand Finals he would need to win 2 Bo3 and Idra would only need to win one Bo3 since they havent played yet today.

I love how unsubtle the camera is about focusing on the sponsers.

This tournament format is so confusing. So If Select beat Kiwiwaki he has to beat Huk to meet Idra? And what is this stupid extended series rule? Can anybody explain?

They're constantly balancing DPS versus survivability when doing this, until the medivacs are out. Tyler got cute with too many Phoenixes and just had a smaller army. stim kiting is boring because its depressingly easy. 1a click right 1a click repeat repeat repeat. any diamond player can do it almost as well. being able to macro at the same time is a different story but spectators cant see that.
If any Diamond player can do it almost as well then why is he so much better than them all?

Should he go hellion/thor against toss? Mass battlecruisers! TLO would go mass Battlecruisers/SCVs... and win.
I think the finals is actually a best of 5
Also Idra will need to win 1 series vs anyone he plays that hasn't played him
if he has played his opponent he will play an extended series(best of 7 or 11)
If he hasn't played them, and they win a series, there is another series that the winner of wins the tournament(Idra hasn't lost so he would need to be knocked to loser's bracket, then lose again)

Standing there in a cluster with stalkers and dropping mass FF's? Select was stimming, targetting, and CONSTANTLY moving his troops into better positions. All of his attacks looked so fluid and agile. It was insane. I'm a 100% zerg user and despise terran and even I was blown away by how awesome those fights were to watch.
He was straight up tackling FOUR colossi backed by mass gate armies with nothing but MMM and actually breaking even. Do you have any idea how ridic hard that is? Colossi are THE counter to bio, and Nony had 4 of them. Versus any lesser player that would have been a complete slaughter. Instead, Select's insane micro, targetting, and use of stim/healing/pickup with medivacs allowed him to wipe out all the colossi and almost all the gate units. Respect Select. His skills are insane.
Exactly. Select's unit control and micro is absolutely amazing. I thought he was going to lose on xel naga caverns but, through great control and positioning, he fought back and destroyed nony's army and took the game. also, on metalopolis, he dropped in the back of nony's base, attacked his third, and landed vikings in nony's natural mineral line all at the same time. Select deserves a lot more credit for his impressive play

It's like what Day9 says. You have to stick to the core units. And MM are Terran's core.

Well i took it as a bit of a slight and generalisation, though ill admit that there is alot of useless complaining in these threads usually.

You are giving alot of people on here so little credit. I think most can see Select's incredible ability, its just a minority that find it boring.

How are people still complaining about select? He is freaking amazing, and very entertaining to watch. He is one of the Terrans who won't fall into the trap of thinking their race sucks because it can't 1a anymore, instead he took a tip and micro's like a beast. I dare to say I haven't seen micro that precise and it's like a breath of fresh air to see a terran with control like that.
