Here's the thing though -- it's going to be hard for him in the long run to become a super popular player if he uses more simplistic and unexciting tactics. For example, take TLO. In a span of months he went from a nobody in SC2 to the darling of the entire foreigner community. Why? He exhibited insane builds and creative play that really got people excited. If he played MMM every game do you really think he'd have anywhere near the amount of fans he does now?Show nested quote + On October 17 2010 05:40 dbddbddb wrote: Going MMM is okay but if you do it every single game and still come out victorious it doesnt feel satisfying to watch. Now - God MMM is so uninspired, Select is good but this feels unsatisfying. I challenge anyone to make a viable T v P build where MMM is not the backbone.

Do you expect him to randomly make stuff to be cute? Select played straight up and didn't try to rely on tricks to win, and that's 100% respectable. because watching stimrauders rape everything is boring If stimrauders are raping everything, it's just as much Tyler/Nony's fault for making units that get raped by them, since I can't help but think that SeleCT's choice of unit composition may have had *some* relation to the units T/N/Mr Wasieleski was chosing to build. Oh wait, I'm forgetting the fact that to build Rays that have recently been buffed against tier 1, Protoss need to build a factory, I mean Lair, I mean... oh. void rays suck ass against stim marines, its not even close to being worth it for P. that buff does basically nothing for them. Plus "its his fault for making units that get raped by marauders" what units DONT get raped by marauders? immortals arnt as good as people think since they die in 2 volleys, he made colossus and he tried phoenix. zlot/stalker/sentry is depressingly bad vs stim marauders.

IdrA would still only need to win 2 games versus Select to win it all, as Select has already been eliminated once. ...And you can thank NonY for that! Sen lost to Select in a BO3. I think he could possibly beat Idra. Really? Hmm yeah that spells trouble for Idra. I think Sen is better than Idra. Tho this is based of Play of Sen i saw a couple months ago. Not sure if Idra has pasted Sen..probably not. Sen's style is very different than Idra's so it's hard to compare the two. Sen is more harass oriented while Idra is more defensive and macro oriented You need to watch Sen stream. Sen's marco is as good as Idra. He beat Silver and Painuser like beating Silver players and beat Idra 2 games in a row...all that in 2 hours of his stream Anyone have a link to his Stream? Sen was my favorite Zerg, before Husky casted that series of Fruitdealer crushing Maka in a B07 series. Lol i remember in a Europe vs Asia Showmatch Sen and the Most epic comeback vs TLO on Scrap. It appears in the TL stream list when it's on. Thanks!

Standing there in a cluster with stalkers and dropping mass FF's? Select was stimming, targetting, and CONSTANTLY moving his troops into better positions. All of his attacks looked so fluid and agile. It was insane. I'm a 100% zerg user and despise terran and even I was blown away by how awesome those fights were to watch. He was straight up tackling FOUR colossi backed by mass gate armies with nothing but MMM and actually breaking even. Do you have any idea how ridic hard that is? Colossi are THE counter to bio, and Nony had 4 of them. Versus any lesser player that would have been a complete slaughter. Instead, Select's insane micro, targetting, and use of stim/healing/pickup with medivacs allowed him to wipe out all the colossi and almost all the gate units. Respect Select. His skills are insane. so much truth, people talking about how easy it is to play MMM are completely clueless, they should actualy try to play terran vs competent protoss player.

I just don't get why you can't complain about boring MMM-tactics AND appreciate selects play at the same time? I mean, I think select is one of the very best terrans in the western hemisphere when it comes down to micro....but still I find his gamestyle/overall-concept very predictable and boring; why does everything has to be black and white? why must it always come to either be 100% in favour or 100% against a player? there are aspects I admire about select's play and aspects I don't like; same goes for pretty much every player; what's wrong with that?
