Hi everybody, I'm live at the event here on Day 3 at NY Comic Con. I just made this thread so I can give people who aren't concerned about spoilers some insight on today's matches. The third place match between HuK and drewbie will not be streamed, so I will try to do some live updates for that series.
The finals between qxc and Fenix will begin at or around 2:30 PM EDT and will be streamed at the usual ESL TV location.
Third place match Game 1 (I only have HuK's perspective, as the game is not being shown on the big screen.):
HuK spawns bottom left on Blistering Sands against drewbie in the top right. HuK is going for fast carriers, getting a fleet beacon before even expanding. drewbie hasn't really poked in with any units yet. A mothership is being warped in and HuK is in control of both Xel'Naga towers.

HuK is expanding at his natural, killing scouting marines as drewbie sends them. The mothership will be arriving before the Nexus is completed. HuK also has three warp gates and a small mix of tier 1 units. drewbie scanned HuK's main and for sure saw the Mothership being warped in. The mothership is now out.

Drewbie appears to have been cranking out MMM in response, he floated a factory over HuK's natural as well, so he's got good vision of what he's doing. HuK is moving across the middle of the map and pursuing drewbie into his natural area. Mass stalkers, sentries, and a mothership are knocking on drewbie's natural, which is still being built. HuK forces the CC to float back into the main.

It takes balls to mothership rush in a match like this, that's for sure lol!

Vortex goes down and drewbie drops the rest of his MMM into it so he doesn't lose anything. SCV's are pulled, vortex ends and the mothership is destroyed. Stalkers and sentries are thinned out and eventually destroyed. Drewbie holds the attack and floats back to his natural. HuK drops two more gateways at his natural after the attack ends.

Drewbie is still scouting with his factory, dropping vikings in HuK's main mineral line well pressing the front natural base with MMM. HuK seems to be on the ropes, with mostly zealots and probes being pulled. drewbie is retreating down the ramp but has cleared HuK's natural. Drewbie presses back up with solely MMM and thins out the rest of HuK's workers and most of his zealots. Another mothership is being warped in so HuK can't rebuild workers. It looks grim for him.

HuK is down to only two probes and drewbie is mining off of at least two bases. Mothership #2 has shown up but HuK only has 8 or 9 zealots to escort it across the map over to drewbie's natural. He's at 29 food with a mothership. HuK shows up at the natural of drewbie only to gg before encountering drewbie's huge MMM ball. drewbie is up 1-0.

meh dunno why he'd get a mothership and not more carriers or +1 for them.
+1 carrier is 96 DPS (with 8 interceptors) on 0 armor targets.

HuK spawns at the top position of Lost Temple for game 2. drewbie is on the right side spawn. drewbie calls HuK bm in the chat. =P

HuK is threatenin drewbie with more motherships in the game chat, drewbie just says "ok."

HuK scouts drewbie with his probe, drewbie still doesn't know exactly where HuK is. HuK looks to be going more standard this time around, but who knows?

drewbie scouts HuK with his scv, HuK is holding the right side Xel'Naga tower. drewbie moves out of his base with 2 marines and a marauder, just to kill HuK's scouting probe. He goes back up his ramp. drewbie sends a scouting factory. HuK is building a fleet beacon again.

HuK doesnt really seem to give a shit anymore after he lost in the semis, oh well :C

Carrier is being built at HuK's solitary stargate. drewbie landed his scouting factory and built one hellion to scoot around HuK's base. HuK is building one carrier at a time and expanding at his natural. He's got two warpgates. A flashbang went off on the Counterstrike finals behind drewbie and HuK and HuK says "aaaahh lights" in the game chat. First carrier is out and shooting depots, then returns home quickly.
