Sorry, I didn't follow the old BW scene closely, was there a lot of FA success there? No, kespa monopolized it so that you couldn't play in tournaments if you weren't in a pro team Show nested quote +On September 29 2010 03:43 JinDesu wrote:On September 29 2010 03:38 Anfere wrote: Cheese craft at it's highest level. In what perspective this game can compare to broodwar ?
Really disapointed in this Ro8, i mean no expending, no macro, just pure micro all inish plays and there is nothing wrong with that, i just feel that i'm watching wc3 and not starcraft.
Only hero of the day is Cool incredibal balls and play. There were multiple games of expansions. The opponents just didn't really let the expansions work. Cool vs Inca - Inca was setting up for forge fast expand, gets shut down. In fact, he even throws down the expansion after he fights off the first wave, and then promptly gets shut down again. Tester vs ITR - Both expand in game 1. Even 3rd expos are taken. Game ends shortly after that. Game 2 Tester expands, and gets shut down by 1 base play by ITR. Didn't watch Maka v LiveForever because I missed it, and Ensnare basically destroyed HongUn in the early game. Judging by about 10 posts I've recently read by you, it's extremely difficult to tell if you're serious.
Quite serious. If you have something to discuss, feel free. I'm not fond of the "you are wrong, and I won't tell you why" philosophy.

Did you see the recent OSL finals?
I hope ITRs TvT is good enough for ensnare. His PvT is insanely good even in the midgame, where I expect Protoss to have a tiny advantage. But Tester also made a few mistakes. I saw better forcefields out of him. Sad that Tester and ITR met so early. I think Tester is better than Ensnare or NexLiveforever... Ensnare abused the Terran advantage in earlygame (that exists in my oppinion). Nevertheless he was superior to Hungun anyways. I want to see Cool vs. ITR in the finals. Would be really epic!

I'm very dissapointed, as Tester is probably the best SC2 player in the world. I'm not saying racial imba, just disappointed in the way it turned out =/

So what if there aren't many macro games. Thats not what starcraft is about. Starcraft is about taking out the enemy structures. Why the f would you do that in 50minutes when you know you can do that in 20 ?
This isn't broodwar. Whatever "standard" you had for starcraft in broodwar does not exist in SC2.
LIke I said in many other threads, the game starts when the game starts. There no "no rush" phase where both people sit back and just chillax while they reach a 200 army and 4 bases and do a mega clash of the titans battle.

Is Sjow really that much better than Morrow? Huk better than Tester? lol Tester is still arguably the best player in the world regardless of losing to rainbow today and one match means nothing. Don't jump to conclusions. Tester is the best Protoss in the world, but got roflstomped. Huk is the best Protoss outside of Korea, but got roflstomped. By Sjow. How conclusive do you want to get? The only conclusion I can make from this is that Sjow played actually better that day(didn't watch the games) and Rainbow played better today(wich was really clear) Terran rushes are usually defendable, but BARELY.
When terran brings scv's in, its pretty much GG. (if your bring probes its also gg cause terran has mules and is already reinforcing his army)

Of course that's not what Starcraft is about. But E-sports is about entertainment, and watching Terran EEEE HAAAAAAN TIMINGGGG rush with scvs every game isn't entertaining.

Well, I agree that Terran earlygame is the strongest. But its just not true, that it is unbeatable. Tester showed us in the Ro16 against hyperdup, that terran rush-all-in play is stoppable.

I couldn't even finish watching Ensare vs HongUn, I just hate those fucking early Terran rushes. To me it feels like Terran can get so many more units out early game against protoss and protoss have to pretty much constantly chrono boost their first gateway just to keep up, let alone defend a helion/MM push.

Oh man, after Zergs stop whining about T "You are the only zerg left in the ro4. Cool: ZvP is very hard... but ZvT is do-able. ****** But ultralisks got nerfed in 1.1.1 so I think that may factor into the difficulty of ZvT."
finally Protoss starts... Guys maybe Toss earlygame is too greedy?! If you figure it out to get in the mid/endgame, HT do pretty well against Terran.

I hope Cool will make it to the finals to prevent the massive amount of imbalance whine ( whine = no fun watching ), also it would be great for non mirror final !~~
Cool fighting !~~

Toss too greedy? Every game terran didn't go for a rush, they expoed sooner.
Except terran can't be punished for greed, lolbunkers.

Cool is certainly not the first Zerg to think of baneling busting a forge expo...

Cool fighting, really not looking forward to a TvT finals.

Cool vz rainbow finals PLEASE, they are by far the best players and i really dont want a TvT

I was very sad to see Tester eliminated. I was rooting for him from the start of the tournament. I have no idea what happened when he played ITR especially in game 2.
A perfect concave waiting below the ramp and he charges down anyway? I'm not sure what Tester's state of mind was like at that point but that was a very bad mistake. If he stayed above the ramp I believe he could have held a little longer. The question of course is that even if he held above the ramp he was pretty well contained which is a terrible situation but I feel he could have thought of something else to do in the meantime.
In game 1 he also kinda got screwed by a better concave. I think the 2 colossi gave him more assurance than he could afford at that point in the game.
I hope the guy is back for GSL2. His games are usually very fun to watch.

I was very disappointed in Tester v.ITR. Tester totally bungled both games. Bizzarre performance from such a great player.
And Ensnare v. HongUn was just a face stomping.
No great games from today. The best was cool's game 2.
