Now that day 1 is over, I can honestly say I'm glad to have been here through all the launch problems and stream difficulties. Looking at that stage and the amazing studio they've set up, and the English streams and casters, I can't wait to see how this progresses. I didn't think I'd say this, but I'm actually tempted to pay - HQ stream quality be damned - just to support the scene.
Here's to hoping GOM will be able to provide us with much more consistent quality on Monday.

I'm sure the games will get better as the tourney goes on. These 2 matchups simply had players of different calibers playing. Idra and Makka simply walked over their opponents, it was kind of like watching a couple Diamond players against some platinum leaguers.

the opening ceremony lasted longer than all the games we saw....they really should've scheduled 4 instead of 2 per day; at least for ro 64

Here's hoping they improve by Monday when they have 5 matches to show us.
I enjoyed it. Was kind of fun struggling to find a stable stream. Granted, I wasn't paying for it.....
If they get it stable and of good enough quality, I can see paying for next season.

They had some problems but overall i think it was ok for the first show and hope it will get better the next time.

Running units don't do damage.
While marauders run, stalkers/immortals get free shots, and when Marauders stop running, you storm them again.

obviously maka was the better player, but focus isn't some random scrub, he's also very good if he qualified for the GSL. It's just sad to see that maka could win with massing 1 t1 unit, and even a t3 unit (collosus) couldn't do much vs terran's versatility. It's pretty easy for them to swap to just about any tech, ie swap starport to the reactor, you are instantly producing 2x vikings, etc.

well hes right. i too got pissed by all the balance crap posts on the last few pages. if we cant even watch a livegame where a P gets totally dominated by a superior player without masses of weirdos instantly crying about balance then really we have a problem here.
its just fkkin annoying.
