FakeSteve are you going to continue making these posts about how awful HD and Husky are in commentating?
Because you actually have the option to mute them or even not to watch these few games, but when trying to read all the comments it's kinda hard to ignore your high horse remarks about these two very popular and entertaining, but not that knowledgeable casters.
We get it, there's no need to keep nitpicking every thing they say though. What's going on right now is a good thing for SC2. If you don't like it, that's your right. Keep it to yourself or present your criticism in a manner that could actually help them improve.

if you count the average as including everyone on earth that has never heard of SC2, then yes it is above average insight.
if you count average as, say, the whole of the competitive community, then it is well WELL below standard
yes i understand this event and other events have a bigger audience to cater to than just our elitist selves but i can still be grumpy that i have to listen to it. i give no allowances for the opening act!
and i muted the stream ages ago

Day9 fanboys out in force. Day9 is great. His fans hate any caster than isn't their god.

anyone able to fix the problem where VLC only plays for a few seconds when you start with ctrl N?

Something tells me we won't see them back after this event. Maybe I'm wrong.
I think HD is atleast giving the impression of being a professional

I can manage HD and Husky just started casting during Beta and neither are really great at SC2. I think they are doing amazing and getting better. They are use to prerecorded VODs so I think by the end of the weekend they will be great.
I dont disagree mate, I was just trying to say that while I prefer JP and Day9, HD and Husky are doing great

C'mon guys HD and Husky are fine when they're casting in game. It's just out of game their inexperience of being in front of live cameras really shows.

Okay, this is annoying. The "now" standard PvT opening is:
Gateway on 12, Assimilator on 16, Zealot, Cybernetics. You get your Cybernetics at around 20-21 supply, using ALL your chrono boost on probes so you can compete with 2 base mule mining and have a good midgame economy for Robotic's Facility play with 3 Warp Gates.

how DARE you call yourself a caster and say that protoss build was nonstandard SDGJFDFSGHDFSJD
what the hell is your problem? Yeah they dont know a lot about the game but just relax and mute if you have to. Who are you to tell them what they can call themselves and what they cant? They obviously have a lot of subscribers and that is what is important to the bizness ppl of MLG. I love Day9 but he's no perfect caster and these 2 can become good, the game is new, dont expect perfection and just take things as they are.

I totally agree i m getting aggressive when i watch it and hear them talking :/ I hated the comment on how everybody would be waiting for the incontrol vs machine replays because zerg would be so hard to deal with as protoss.
I like the day9 + co caster tho its on a totally different level imo.

Man you really need to calm down, seriously.
I just remembered my first wc3-commentaries I listened to.....there were hardly any VODs, you could watch the replay and listen to the audio-file on winamp; live-streams were impossible due to slow connections
ppl should calm and be happy that they can watch live starcraft 2 with commentaries

proxy doesnt exactly mean close proximity =/
|
Is there no way to "pop-out" the video?
|
Proxy-stargate. Inb4 this is standard protoss play.
|
I wonder if this protoss read Gnial's PvT dual stalker -> void ray follow up.

It works if you authenticate through IE (Firefox might block it, even with disabled NoScript and Adblock), keep the IE open and reopen the stream in VLC with 1200 instead of 600. Thank you sooo much, works perfect!

I think Day9 is much better off doing casting and someone like Husky is better off doing interviews and asking about imbalance ( like Dennis).
|
Come on doods, someone do some LR'ing for people at work. Less bashing HDH.

HD and Husky have a large youtube audience. Said audience (mostly) don't watch analysis. Husky n HD fans will watch MLG and then discover the wonder that is Day9- JP. Result: A fresh batch of "Better Gamers"
