If you are using linux, download the linux octoshape plugin, then run it like so:



Then it will attempt to run mplayer itself with a url that will look something like this. Go ps axf | less to find it.



If for some reason your player plays a few seconds of sound and then quits, it is probably because the octoshape plugin passes -nocache to mplayer which is retarded, so just go mplayer 'the above url' that you found, and that gets you a perfect stream that worked all night for me.
