Idra beat Tester in the finals (it even had to go to ace), but also got swept in the group stage of KOTB. So it wasn't that much of a difference. Plus, that was over a month ago, I think Tester could take Idra now. Koreans are just way too good.

That's an argument based on no facts. 'Plus, that was over a month ago' That's saying IdrA hasn't gotten better in the past month.

at this point, i think that idra is even with or slightly better than the top ogs guys (tester, thestc, itr, cool). maybe like 60-40, it's still a coin flip, not huge difference in skill level.

I'd really be interested to see some more games of them. The only one I've seen was from cool on Blistering Sands, it was an HDStarcraft VOD and in that game both players just played super crappy aggro mass T1 style, which would get crushed in any foreigner tournament(with the exception of tester of course).

Believe me, their style just looks weak from a spectators pov. There was some kinda king of the hill tournament in korea lately where many top players like Tester, TheStc, Cool, TheWind etc took part. Lets say: Tester didn't do too well and TheStc had a 22 win streak.

Now go figure that Tester is probably better than any euro player.

Now go figure that none of this matters until foreign/korean players actually play each other

are you just daft or what - you seem to be suggesting that nada is a zerg broodwar player

when in fact he is the most successful terran (and progamer) of all time

Dimaga and Idra.

ZvZ Finals to put an end in the Terran OP concern

cause one tourney zerg wins magically makes all the tourneys terran won go away.

When it's the biggest tournament to date, yes?

And Terran has never won a big event. Ever.

World Cup? Zerg.
Kaspersky Cup? Zerg.
King of the beta? Zerg.

Maybe because sticking to the weak early game race which always has to defend all this early cheese / allins makes you a more solid player overall, whereas playing the cheesemaster race (aka Terran) will get you used to sloppy play and relying on bullshit crutches rather than actual skill?

The top Zergs like IdrA and Dimaga are clearly better players and by a significant margin atm, it's only fair if they win. Doesn't mean T isn't the cheesemaster/easymode race or that ZvT isn't an uphill battle.

I think I remember watching a game on Kulas of you vs Lalush I think? (Or maybe not, I forget who the zerg was). And as good as you are, it's incredible how sloppy and generally passive a Terran is allowed to be, and how many mistakes he can make and still take the game, vs how brutally unforgiving Zerg is, and how constantly hyperactive they have to be to stay competitive.

So yeah, top players who stick with Zerg end up being straightforwardly better.
Surprise? Not really.

LOL

You realize you just used the "X race players are just better" argument, the very same argument that people have been using to justify good results of terrans?

How the hell are players like Demuslim, Bratok, TLO etc on a lower level than IdrA/Dimaga? It's just ridiculous to claim this.

dude... MadFrog isn't nearly on the same level mechanically that Idra is.

TLO was favoured vs Morrow.. And he lost.
Tarson never was favoured and.. won.
Expect unexpected my friend! The less games are predictable, the better they are! :D

but thats becouse people favoured players they liked mroe then in skill term. Most people knew that morrows TvT is betetr then TLO's and that Madfrogs macro/gamesense is still not good enougth for this tournament..

there's also the fact that we haven't heard much about Morrow in SC2, and I had never heard of Tarson. but yeah... this.

MorroW has been the best swedish Terran throughout the entire beta pretty much... There was a brief period where he was kinda slumping hard but not long.

Also, you should take a look at Tarson's beta profile - he tore shit up at the end of the beta.

You do realize that QQing is the reason why you will always be in the shadow of TLO and other Europeans.
Bravo my friend, keep spamming on these forums instead of training, Now I know why you didn't get invited (Not like you could have passed the group stage anyways). Jinro have you ever wondered why every freaking Terran out their will suggest TvZ is their best Match-up and Every Zerg will say ZvT is their worst?

And who are you? How can you even get away with saying stuff like that?

Jinro, stop getting trolled by 1 liners. It's sad to witness. If the mods actually banned these idiots, maybe every SC2 forum thread wouldn't turn into a balance whine debate.
Oh look, it's happened again.

1. It is not one liner, (Learn to count)
2. Who I am doesn't matter, (I am an average 600 Diamond zerg in europe, but that does not and should not matter)
3. You don't need to worship or lick Jinro or any other Pro-gamers feet, they are just human after all.
4. This is a forum, where debates and arguments can be frequent (It is the purpose of a forum after all - to discuss share ideas and thoughts). If Jinro or any other person Says something doesn't mean it is the END / WRITTEN IN STONE!
5. Jinro started the balance discussion I did not! He brought in meaningless "Zerg" wins from phase1, which shouldn't in anyway brought into limelight when talking about balance!!
6. Find me anything I said which was wrong and we can continue this on PM
7. I had stopped with the Balance discussion on these forums as this is "Tourneys section" but you trolled me back into it by adhomin attacks.

Don't understand why MorroW wasn't favored vs TLO. As much as I love TLO as a player, and his creative plays. MorroW has played Terran as his race since BW and has much more experience in TvT than TLO, and sometimes experience will play the biggest difference.

The questions were rhetorical and the rest of what I said wasn't directly targeting you.
But here you go if you want an answer:
1. Not aimed at you
2. Irrelevant
3. I don't
4. Agreed but you personally attacked him which is unnecessary
5. See 1
6. See 4. Also, there's nothing to talk about. If you want to talk about balance, I don't. Hence, the purpose of my first post was to prevent this from happening.
7. I'm not trolling

I picked Morrow over TLO since Morrow seems to have very strong TvT, and TLO's last couple TvTs seemed weak. Against Z, TLO would probably have been the stronger contender =/

yeah, there is absolutely no skill in this tournament. its just that zerg is not weak at all. i've actually never heard of idra or dimaga before. so weird how unknowns can just play the best race in the game and get to the semi finals.

Rofl, truth.

On a side note, Is there any links to some higher quality or faster loading videos? Im going to catch up on all the games this weekend, but for some reason, I just tried watching one and it literally took me 20min to buffer halfway and it still caught up at the end to load some more. And its taking this long to load a 50x50 video? Looks like tetris when i go fullscreen. =(

Let's not forget that it's NaDa.

Get so, so much hype. I want him to crush TLO and grind his puny non-korean bones into dust. Though, it's very, very possible that NaDa hasn't actually practiced SC2 all that much.
