Man, I really want to see a top BW player play SC2 full time. If Nada could do that in 10 days (which I'm sure wasn't 10 days of practicing SC2, probably just games here and there), I'm excited for other BW upper level players could achieve.

But only a few, cuz we need BW going

it's the korean esports association. they give out the progamer licenses. something like FIFA or UEFA in soccer.

Who or what is KESPA and why would they not want the showmatch to be streamed in Korea?

I would also like to know, can someone fill us in?

Make an account, and go into your account control panel. "Add pre-paid key" or something along those lines.

Thanks, didn't see the redeem thing!

It sucks, but kespa has the right to control their interests in Korea. That said, I didnt know they had that much control over players. Secondly, it seemed poorly thought out.. they gave nada permission and didnt see that coming? The net savy koreans arent going to find a way to see their hero play sc2 against an top foreigner? Fuck, we here at TL get livestreams of progamers in Korean variety shows tons of vods subs etc..

I've allways been curious as to why you're pretty much the only person i've ever seen with an avatar.

Is there a thread or something so i can find out why?

Multiple mods/admins have them..you need to look around more xD.

tbh this showmatch makes me doubtful of foreigners chances in korea. Maybe TLO did go easy on him, but if not things are looking bleak. If progamers switch over and practice for a cpl months I dont see foreigners stopping them. They have trained their mechanics and multitasking for a long, long time and reached a level that will not be reached by foreigners in quite some time imo.

2 games show nothing, also TLO was hardly gonna be playing full strength.

I love all these people saying that SC2 takes no skill what so ever, then making constant lol's at TLO for losing to a player with 10 days of experience.

Get your story straight, either it takes skill and nada is a very gifted gamer, or it doesn't and each game is a coin flip no skill fest.

The BW fanboyism/elitism only hurts communities, causes a schism between players and fans and is overall insane.

BTW, Starcraft was laughed at when it was first released because it "took no skill" from the total annhilation players back in 1998.

Give things time, SC2 will be just as good.

KeSPA fail.

But great showmatch so far.

if the stream was the issue, why wouldn't they just shut down the stream instead of the game?

because they are not god?

haha this reminds me of pro wrestling. there can't be a straight up one-on-one match... there has to be some outside interference and a screwjob ending so that one guy never looks weaker than the other. well at least it's got people talking about SC2 competition.

anyway, we got an epic game 2, the most exciting TvT ever played in SC2 to date, so I'm certainly not complaining

I find it hard to find the link between some idiot streaming on some website and KeSPA canceling the match. Why doesn't KeSPA just contact Afreeca? Canceling the match makes absolutely no sense.
Lee Jae Dong proved that a focus on mechanics and execution could solve problems in the StarCraft game strategy.
