Top Protoss Player

Was very well known in the Beta, was ranked 1st in the Diamond league until i went on vacation and dropped to rank 8. As of now I am ranked 22 on the Diamond League for the game SC2 which I bought today. Would love to participate into this tournament as I can become an extremely interesting player. I was considered to be on of the top Protoss players above WhiteRa.

I haven't gotten a chance to play in tournaments, actually entered only 1 in the past... I have anxiety and get nervous playing in ladder. I'd like to overcome this and would like to participate.

I admire Response participating in this tournament. He practices hard, entertains his viewers on his livestream channel, and he is a very good protoss player (B-/B protoss player on SC:BW iCCup server). Let's cheer for Response! Fighting! :D

the pimpest plays idea is just awful imo. u cant just say i give u money if u play cool, apperently u dont understand how the game works then. terran got 10 times easier to make these "pimp plays" that everyone loves

pimpest plays should come naturally out of players who actually think its good for the game and wants to win, not just toy around and try to do something fancy TT

so meanwhile everyone is making nukes and motherships, someone try spend my time on actually playing this game and actually trying to win instead of make himself look good and wins easy :D. if sc1 taught me anything its that once u learn the game macro and bos and timings is the beauty, not some silly allin builds imo. i feel like ur discriminating a big portion of players by saying pimp play is more valuable. ur giving out the wrong message to new users too

playing well is 10 times harder than playing pimp. u dont say many players doing it because its most of times really luck based, abusive or just straight up bad. if it was actually good then u would see more of it lol

seems like a really nice tour but im really against the encouragement of micro to reward in cash, do like TLO. play pimp because ur awesome and win ur games on highest levels of play and get rewarded with tons of fans. thats pimp

so this prize pool u talk about op. if u win the tour u get 50% of that or whats the deal?

cant wait to see a tour which encourages macro, execution and late game management and every noob out there goes "omg fucking boring game aaaaa" lol

If you win, you get half the prize pool. If you get the "pimpest play", you get the other half.

I'll agree with you on the fact that solid fundamentals is integral to the game as a whole. The players in this tournament have their fundamentals down. The plan isn't to have a player building 5 ghost academies and doing a mass nuke drop, it's to give that extra little mental push when you think "Can I get away with this?".

In the NHL All-Star game, both teams play to win. But it isn't the olympics, it's a spectator's game. People watch to see breakaways, incredible saves, and just a generally fun game. That doesn't mean the players forget how to skate

Thread updated with full list of players. Thanks to everyone who applied, there were some really skilled players that unfortunately I just didn't have room for. I'll be holding another, bigger, tournament later this year that will hopefully be able to accomodate the huge amount of applications I got.
