As for this part of Diamond's post I seem to remember him making a big long post about this topic in particular on this thread and now I can't find it there's a couple that have edits on them and I can't tell if any of them are those. It would be nice to know if I'm remembering correctly and it got edited out by the other person who was changing the passwords on his accounts constantly which he claimed to be Saechiis. Because if thats true blaming JMS for leaving unexpectedly is pretty not feasible.
edit; I want to say it was this one

I dunno. The tourney will run to completion I think. The drama is being overplayed a little bit But it shows you, running a big tournament is no easy job! I certainly respect the people that try, I don't envy the work, that's for sure.
Anyway hopefully the tourney moves on into the final rounds soon!

yeah lets just move on i am sure they have learned their lesson. What baffles me though is why he wont accept help of extra people. i think that is a bit of an ego problem just ask a person like xeris to help you i am sure he would and also diamond would as well why are you against that?

As the rep from iFixit who brought in a large chunk of the sponsorship $$, I have been largely silent on the matter of the pace of the tournament.
I see no problem (other than I too want to watch VODs asap) with the pace.
Saechiis didn't make the starting post for this tournament, JMS did, so as far as I know there isn't much he can do to affect the OP, which makes things very difficult.
@Diamond, thanks for the support to us sponsors
As long as the tournament finishes we will be satisfied.
It would be completely bad manner for any other sponsors to even think about pulling their money out after so many players have already put a lot of time and effort into participating in this tournament.

James has never been outed, he just went on vacation and left me to do everything. Are you seriously suggesting I'm hacking into his account and editing his posts? If I had access to his account I would've edited the OP. He gave me the same answer as to why he wasn't doing anything, which was:
"my teamliquid account is fucked, this is the first time i have been able to get on in over a week... my password isnt working i had to change it twice, it keeps changing, dont know whats going on.
im going to try and stay logged in so it doesnt happen but a dont know whats goin to happen with that."
If his account was truly hacked it wouldn't be much of a stretch to create a new one, or would it? But no, he hasn't posted in this topic since July 1st. Would people really rather believe that I've been hacking him for two months completely negating his abilities to get on the internet. Or rather that he was a 17 year old that got in over his head and decided to take the backdoor exit.
I'd really rather complete this tournament as I have promised, instead of listening to increasingly bizarre allegations.

I was on vent with him when he made a big post in this thread and linked it to me and now it's gone. It seems to fit with his accusations that someone has been fucking with all his accounts to see that it has been possibly edited out. Along with the fact that he's been complaining that you were trying to take over the tournament from the start. I'd rather find out the truth than be worried about your feelings because if i"m wrong I will apologize and fully retract everything but if I'm right then you are taking the community for a ride. This is why I bring it up, that is all it is nothing personal but I'd like to know if I'm right or wrong. Because one of you is seriously being childish, and maybe if the mods can look into it and find out which one we'll be able to progress along on this tournament.
edit: Plus nobody accused you of hacking his accounts he said that he gave you the passwords so you could lend it out to players and edit the OP.
|
Did he explain on vent how it was possible he didn't post anything in our thread since July 1st? Don't you find it weird that apparently I've been controlling his account since 2 months ago and he has just mentioned it to you on vent?
I'd love to have a mod come on here and give the liberating news that it was always JMS' IP logging on to his account. And that my IP in fact is just logging on to my own account. If there's anyone taken for a ride then it's you. I am even willing to give you access to my account so you can check my PM's to him. Interested?
PS. why would I want to lend out his TL account to players?

let's just concentrate on getting the qualifiers going :D I think the qualifiers are almost complete. I think it's time for saechiis to remind the invited players to remind them of the tournament and actually set a time line so that it's easier for players to follow (a new schedule of course :D)

I will but I want this shit out of the way first. All the participating players can confirm I've been the only person contacting them for the duration of the tournament while JMS was enjoying his holidays. I've contacted Kennigit to check IP data and I can't wait for the results ^^
Just CauthonLuck and Dimaga have to play their RO16 game, which will be done today. I'll also be sending out the RO8 notices today. And don't worry, despite all shenanigans the tournament will persevere :3

From an outsider's perspective JMS has clearly given up on this tournament. Saechiis, Diamond & ICCup have been around the entire time calmly dealing with the crap that JMS has left him and should be applauded for his patience, dedication and commitment.
Personally, it's painfully obvious that JMS has forsaken this tournament. He can create a new account if need be, he can use a computer at the public library, he can create a new account at a friend's house. There are a plethora of choices to rectify the situation. He has chosen none.
Saechiis and Diamond please take the reigns of this tournament and see it to its completion.
Edit -- Added ICCup & Diamond to the mix

I don't understand the bickering and the finger pointing. Really, this is quite childish. If we're missing JMS, bring Diamond on board and continue the bloomin tournament! Everyone wants this to finally exit the qualifier stage and move on. Can we please just focus our energy on something productive, whether it be casting games or organizing matches?
|
Speaking of getting this tournament moving along, I'd like to update our VODS progress for all concerned!
Currently, all available RO32 games have been casted or assigned to one of our new casters. We have also started working on some RO16 games. There should be tons of games coming out in the coming weeks!

Like I said I"m not accusing you but there's so much finger pointing going on back and forth I want to -know- who is in fact the one causing all the trouble. If we do get confirmation either way that'd be amazing and then it'll be helpful in clearing up all the crap that's going on. JMS repeatedly kept coming on vent complaining about the whole situation so if you're right he's being childish going out of his way to make things difficult for you. But with two people constantly blaming eachother it's tough to deal with because then it's he said she said. I really want to see this tournament moving on and if JMS is intentionally holding back then screw him, but if he's right then he got fed up by other people messing with him which doesn't completely clear him from not trying but still I'd liek to know either way.
I'm sorry if I came off abrasive but when I get into these situations I just want to know whats really going on so I don't do the best job of coming off polite.

I'm busy trying to get the qualifiers done, but I keep having to get back to this thread to deal with these kind of Indian stories. As I said, maybe I'm being too defensive, but that's just because I actually care about how this tournament pans out.
I have never publicly complained about JMS being absent, nor have I pointed my finger at him saying it was his fault that things went wrong. After 2 months I just felt like it was time to tell he has quit the tournament. But you can't expect me to not be angry when he claims he's been away because I hijacked his account when he just didn't have the integrity to stick with what he's doing. I already sent Kennigit a PM to clear things up, so I hope we'll hear from that soon ^^
OT: RO8 notices have been sent out, deadline is next week.

Did capoch really beat oGs.Ensanre 2-0 ??? holy shit... he's mexican right ? ( I hope i'm not terribly wrong roflroflrofl)

I think he's from Buenos Aires, Argentina ^^

Y'all might wanna update the "When?" section of the first post. I just read through everything and couldn't find any useful information about the actual dates of the grid for the life of me. I hope I'm not expected to dig through 79 pages?
|
OP will be updated once I get access to it, I might just open a new thread for the RO16 main event. The decisive RO8 qualifying round takes place between now and September 8th.
