About the Players:
White-rA is a Protoss player from the Ukraine. He is known as the "Beast From the East" with his commanding play over the last decade. This guy has been in and around the finals of just about every major tournament since YEARS before most of you have even picked up Broodwar. In addition to being amazing at SCBW/SC2 he is one of the nicest guys you can talk to. He also recently started his own website: http://white-ra.com Support a great guy/player and check it out!
Machine is a Zerg player from the United States. He has taken top 4 in WCG USA and is a force to be reckoned with. As EG's ace and one of Gosucoaching.com's most hired coaches he is a well informed and skilled player that deserves attention!
The showmatch will be casted by myself and Lzgamer again. The stream is viewable HERE on Lz's Livestream.
This event will take place 12pm PST, 2pm CDT, 3pm EST which is 21 CET this THURSDAY
Wow, thanks for the link to WhiteRa's website, didn't know about this one. Allways enjoyed his commentaries on his Broodwar FPVODs and after switching to protoss in Sc2 they even gonna be helpful.
Thank god this isn't announced 10 minutes before it starts again, will not miss it! Taking a drink for every 5 zerglings machine suicides for no damage =)
As a zerg player myself Im always eager to see how Zergs are doing out there. White-Ra,"Beast From the East", looking forward to his PvZ's. Aite, I'll definitely tune in.

Very possibly. I've said again and again that NA players should partake in more international tournaments, so we can see where we stand. Not sure how good Machine's ZvZ and ZvT are, but his ZvP is certainly beastly.
Anyways, there was a time when Machine only macro'd and never micro'd, and lost his army in fights that he should've easily won. His micro has improved dramatically since then.

Now if only the russian caster wouldn't be so mouse nervous...
Haha so true, in the 4th game it looked like he wanted to play instead of Whitera, clicking everywhere, especially on those idled probes in front of the gaz
I think the results are definitely subjective because I'm assuming the games were played on the US server where Machine doesn't really have lag while WhiteRa does. Of course, not trying to take anything away from Machine. Sadly I only got to catch one game

congrats Machine. Going to try out your 13p 15h later today
I'm one of his students just letting you know he just does this for ZvP and does 14p 16h vs T and i havent seen him for coaching since zvz became 1base banelings so I dont know

If you're not trying to take away from machine then what are you doing? Great post.

It's not true, I play on both server and lag is the same (but maybe it's just me)

not to take anything away from machine, but that is the worst i have ever seen white ra play
I used to do this a lot as well, but then I realized that, no matter how you coat it, when you say something like "not to take anything away from A, but B ..." it almost always ends up taking something away from A. So, effectively, it's just a polite way of saying "this is not a legit comparison of A to B."
To this end, people should just be honest and say "Machine played great, but White-Ra played terrible, so I don't think that's really representative of how good White-Ra actually is," if that's what they believe, and here I do think that's what many people believe.
At which point they should become excited about the rematch, which hopefully will have White-Ra at his best, and the same goes for Machine.

its just another way of saying what you said. It's total nitpicking
Right, and my point is that it does take something away from Machine, because the implication is that, since White-Ra played terrible, Machine isn't as good as a 4-1 against White-Ra would imply.

It annoys the hell out of me when people say things like "not to..." or "not that....", when it is obviously implied by the following statement.
I thought white-ra played kinda disrespectful toward machine. He played pretty careless as if he underestimated him. I know he plays very agressively as I've played him many times in SC1, but he was throwing a lot of units away. Machine played very well and capitalized on those mistakes and won the series. Beating white-ra 4-1 is really good, he's one of the few people I've played in SC2 that I think have a very solid overall game and for anyone to beat them 4-1 is pretty good imo. GJ machine.

obviously it takes something away from him. everyone reading that sentence knows that. the point of that qualifier is that im not just saying "machine is flat out shit and the only reason he won is because white ra played poorly" its that im saying white ra played terribly those games in comparison to his usual standard. machine doesn't factor into that at all, which is what that qualifier means.
Nothing to talk about dude. If you are actually translating for an audience via a website of Italians or something I would love to include you. Otherwise you will have to watch from the stream and listen in English/Russian.
It's just a 100$ showmatch dude o-O don't need PMs and conversations via skype etc lol
