rolll first, from high to low, we name them A,B,C then, B vs C, suppose B win C, then B vs A if A win B, A get a first place,B second, C out if B win A, B get a first place, who get the second place is determined by the previous game between A and C | ||

I think perhaps both B and C will stay alive until the 2nd game is decided. Assuming B wins game 1 If A > B then A gets 1st, B gets 2nd.
