If he didn't scout a spire but instead saw mass drones, he would've massed up and pushed like he did in Game 2. If he saw roaches or hydras, he probably would've teched straight to colossi. This is what Nony was talking about in the meta-game thread: coming up with a "safe" build that can counter anything that the opponent might throw at you once you scout it. | ||

Every game I've seen of him he opens normal and builds depending on his scouting info which isn't relying on the metagame at all. | ||

Or just seeing the mass crawlers alone is indicative of that tech path, since it's a very common Z strat. I don't think this can be right, because in the first game nony expanded really fast before he knew that there was a spire. In the second game did he even use the hallucinated phoenix to scout? I'd really like to know the answer as to what made him decide to go into that zeal/sentry all-in, when the spinecrawler wall is supposed to be the way to defend it. I think it could be the fact that he killed an overlord (or 2 overlords even I forget,) but I can't be sure. Nony if you read this, answer plz!!! | ||

Wow nony really WOW'd me with his play, absolutely phenomenal Starcraft 2 play from one of the absolute best foreign Starcraft BW players. I enjoyed his drunk tutorials very very much those long years ago, but let me tell you, I enjoyed that phoenix game JUST as much! | ||
