Personally I don't think TLO would play random if he was at a point were he was praying that he wouldn't get a certain race. Also I'm pretty sure TLO said that zerg is his weakest race, and that's the race he beat White-Ra with twice so anything can happen. | ||

My point is that random is deeply unbalanced in bo3s/bo5s. Something nice and balanced like PTZPZ is much less prone to happen than stupid stuff like the triple P that happened here. If you play random 5 games, more than 60% of the time you will get at least 3 times the same race (not necessarily in a row). So basically one matchup is going to be key to the entire series. If you're unbeatable with it, it will carry you to the victory. If you're terrible at it, it will be your doom. For random to be balanced, both players, even the one not playing random, have to be of about equal strength at all three matchups. That was clearly the entire opposite here, with TLO raping White-Ra ZvP but getting raped PvP. Or you have to go for epic bo7s or bo11s or stuff like that and then it must even out I guess. Bo3s are actually the worst since out of 3 games you've got nearly 80% odds to get at least 2 times the same race, which is just what you need to have the entire series won or lost. | ||

Really unfortunate that after going 2-0, TLO randoms toss three times in a row. Would've liked to see him take that series after that amazing lead, but fate had other plans. Oh well. | ||

If HuK can take 2 games off IdrA, whitera can 3-0 him. I'm just some T noob, but i'm up 3-0 vs idra on ladder and white-ra is deffinately a solid player. leading 2-0 in a series is arguably better for your mental shape than being on a deficit I think that depends a lot on the person. Whenever I've been down at an event I always get very motivated to smash someone. I don't always come back to 'win', but I deffinatley have a heightened senses that I didn't have in the initial game. I come into a series pretty cold and complacent usually. | ||
