I guess my point is that whatever fun is supposed to be generated by having celebrity names in a tournament often fails to materialize once the games are played. For example, if Day9 (who I'm a huge fan of) manages to get past his brother then you're going to have a quarter final match between 1 guy who admits he doesn't have much time to play SC2 and consequently isn't all that great at it, and another who is playing full time and as a result has reached an extremely high level. In a matchup like that you're likely to see 2 boring, one-sided games that won't be made any more exciting by the fact one of the players involved is a popular member of the community. i don't mind this too much, having big names in a tournament like this will draw in more attention to newer followers of the scene which i believe is one of the major goals set by husky/hd. although i can agree to the fact that some of the matches will be one-sided, right side of the bracket will most likely be dominated by whitera + Show Spoiler + especially after watching the showmatches hosted by fragster.de where whitera dominates TLO 3-0 in a bo 5. they played out all 5 games and although TLO won the remaining 2 i suspect whitera had let down his guard quite a bit and maybe just wanting to show some good manners once again great job husky and hd, can't wait for the rest of the ro16's to be cast! | ||
