It will be extremely easy to spoil the series by looking at Idra or Smuft's recently played games, unless they play on smurf accounts. And although I don't foresee that being a problem for me (I would stay far away from TL website and IRC until the cast is up), I'm sure some trolls will succeed in ruining it for people.
Either way, having it cast at all is awesome and I'm thrilled to see Day[9] is so interested.
I'm sure the winner will want to release the replays asap.

I'm rooting for Smuft, but mostly because he's a new face and Protoss, and hasn't been laddering in a while so it should be interesting. Either way, should be TONS of fun.

I think there is a clause in agreement that says they can cancel if a new patch comes in with major changes.

it's a good thing the patch came out so quickly, so that they can get practicing with it. it better not be called off

What... You don't cancel a grudge match just because there is a patch! Unless one feel the fear of losing is more than the grudge, that will just turn him into pussy!

Right... I think they should just agree on something like new patches don't cancel the show match as long as they have roughly a week to practice the new patch...and they can just push the date back if a new patch comes out within a week of the match

I can't beleive they're doing this through the beta... I mean the thing can change at any time... I think they need to get a good feel for the patch before they would decide to change the date or anything. If it doesn't affect their gameplay immensely I think they'll just continue on with it.

Seeing Idra dodge because of the patch's nerfs to roach/hydra, which were fair nerfs, would be almost as good as seeing what he would say if he lost to smuft. Almost.
On another note, I'd like to state for the record that I support Day[9]'s bid to stream the replays when they are released.
