Step by step guide. - Spot the 3-pylon block with your 2nd overlord. - Select all drones, just a-move them close to the pylons or something, move on - - Move screen view to your own natural 3rd base asap. - Position your camera so that the mineral patch in the korhal 3rd is somewhat to the bottom right/top left on your screen. - Put the mouse over the mineral patch and SAVE F-CAMERA HOTKEY 1. - Click DRAG SCROLL (middle mouse button) and move with your mouse all the way to the pylonblock. - Let go of the mouse scroll on top of the pylon you want to break. DO NOT MOVE YOUR MOUSE. - If you missed on the central pylon, hold down drag scroll once more and position the mouse over the pylon. - When the cursor is successfully in position, SAVE F-CAMERA HOTKEY 2. DO NOT MOVE YOUR MOUSE.
You are now ready to break the block.
- Hit F-camera hotkey 1 with all your drones selected, landing you in your natural 3rd. - Your mouse is over the mineral patch. Right-click the mineral patch once, then hold down shift and spamclick it a few times. - Let go of shift. - Hit F-camera hotkey 2 once and RIGHT-CLICK the pylon. You are still not moving your mouse and shouldn't be. - Repeat these steps until the contain is broken.
edit: just want to get it out there that this is how you solve metalopolis and shattered temple blocks, too. either way this is the best method to use, it grants you the most DPS if you execute it without flaw.
There you go gentlemen, Snute droping some huge knowledge here, thanks !

This is only true theoretically and is only followed by people who dont play the game. If you did, you would notice the big difference.

This is great, however I find it easier to use the arrow keys to move the camera instead of scrolling with mousewheel. That way you can see where your cursor is.

Didn't think of that ^_^

Only bad players do what that toss did in your replay (Straight up just 3 pylon + cannon you when you haven't even gone hatch first or anything).
You seriously shouldn't be losing to that.

Truly insightful and helpful. I speak on behalf of the OP when I give you many thanks.
My 2c.
I scout my nat with my second ovie, as everyone does or should do. Also, I read somewhere on TL (can't remember where, I think it was a Bellai guide), if you wanted to prevent it from ever happening, you can send a drone down the ramp on 15 or 16 supply (assuming you didn't attempt suicide by going hatch first).

Thank you all for the help. It was a nice post from Snute. I'm practising this atm and it looks epic : )

The tips isn't new at all (was already a topic on this) but the toss can just put 2 more pylons to delay your drones and as soon as the photon is done he can cancel the 2 additional pylons and u are screwed even more because u lost mining time.
|
Just dont open hatch first vs protoss and you will be fine. Even better open an early pool and screw up their build order and straight up win if they went nexus first...
|
even a 14 pool can be pylon blocked if the toss scouts you first. 14 pool/16 hatch the probe can still lay a pylon down to hatch block as lings aren't out yet. It would delay their forge/nexus.

I opened 14 pool dude : p watch replay

What I do is be aware of probes in your base, if you see a forge and no nexus down yet, have 1 drone attacking the probe until he leaves your base, the loss of mining time is well worth not losing to cannon rushes, if the still try to triple pylon block, put that drone on hold position where the third pylon should go, and mineral walk 2 drones through then attack the probe. If they let the pylons finish, pull more drones, and you can get a good surround on the pylons since only 2 went down. I'm not going to say I never lose to cannon rush, but more often then not I come out way ahead, and when you get ahead as zerg, you are in such a great spot as you can be so greedy.
