Somehow, there were a ton of mirror match ups in the tournament. Also, some maps were played significantly more than others. Bracket improvements will have to be made for the next tournament. Braxis IX 6 games played TvZ 2-1 ZvP 2-1 Beelzebub 11 games played TvZ 1-1 PvT 2-1 ZvP 3-3 Quarantine Zone 9 games played TvZ 2-1 PvT 0-2 ZvP 2-2 Aiur Refuge 7 games played TvZ 2-1 PvT 0-1 ZvP 3-0 Silver Sands 6 games played TvZ 2-1 ZvP 2-1 Hurricane Harbor 11 games played TvZ 1-3 ZvP 4-3 Colonial II 2 games played TvZ 2-0 Odin 9 games played TvZ 1-0 PvT 0-1 ZvP 5-0 There were very few Terrans in the tournament.

The issue is that neither velo nor I (and the other admins) have the upload bandwidth to stream. Typically the casts are done with a Skype call of the casters, or just whoever can do the stream. If someone could consistently stream this so we don't have to work out these issues each week it would be much appreciated. As for the casting, I agree completely. The brackets need improvement as well. In the future I hope to set the bracket up to minimize mirror match ups and also to use the maps more evenly so that all the mapmakers get good data from this. This is about them, after all.

When I start teaching in the fall I won't have as much time... We will see how that goes. Also I need remember to breath so I don't stammer so much. Just trying to help where I can.

I think also the zerg guys in the finals were pretty much better than the others? Which is why one shouldn't read that much into Odin ZvP 5-0 (or any of the stats really, even if it might give a hint) Actually, the stats are from all the tournaments, but the majority of the games on each map were played during one of the tournaments (that's just how the brackets worked out.)

The only one that could be considered troublesome is the stat you point out: Odin ZvP 5-0. Even then, that's only if the trend continues, IMO.

No we are just going through the maps on Teamliquid. If your map is not there I would suggest making a thread if you haven't already.

Need at least 15 games to say anything remotely definitive. One of the big problems was the protosses didn't realize there was a back door to their nat, and didn't wall off metalapolis style. If those games were replayed there would most likely be big difference in win rates.
