it would be nice if the streams were a bit more constant... since the haypro group stream is just silent for al ong time now -_-;
imo the audio is nice but its quite hmmm hard to follow due to this and i have no idea of whats going on other than that haypro just lost 2-1 ... for an event with such money involved i would expect better coverage tbh... now i know all you ppl will say that i shouldnt whine, but its just a bit of a pity that the coverage isnt better, like video casts and non stop casts, since this does kinda make it hard to follow and not nearly as enjoyable... maybe 3rd party casts wouldnt have been a bad idea >.< at least for the 1st round of qualifiers >.<

If you compare that to WCG it´s top notch ^^
Artosis is such a great caster, he makes even audio only streams enjoyable.

Kaolla, we will have casts for the TSL Ro16. We thought we'd bring you guys some audio casts to make it more exciting and fun, for the fans. We initially thought we'd not broadcast the qualifiers at all, and save the broadcasting for the group stages.

Of course, we are also using this as an oppurtunity to fix some final problems. So yes, the cast isn't perfect obviously, but on the other hand, this cast was never intended to be perfect. It was something small we thought we could do to help you guys keep up with it.

So basically what I'm saying is that you shouldn't complain too much.

even if you dont agree with my reply no need to delete it? dotn feel like typing it again, but if i invested 10k into something i'd like something better than a 'better than nothing solution'.
Anyway~ im listening to this casts (specially artosis ) with great joy hes a good caster for sure, its just that the streams are silent most of the time and that time coulda been used differently too... i dont see why this would be too much critisicm, as I said I think you are doing a great job for doing it last minute, just maybe it shouldnt have been planned last minute as it can be a bit frustrating to listen to sometimes (the silence/not knowing whats going on in all matches).
i think i read other sites wanted to cover it? why not let them cover it perfect then? of course they get hits for your investment, but at least it'd be covered perfect then. so that leads me to the
investment > hits for other sites but not big enough for good casts in ro32 well its just a bit weird to me ...anyway~ thx for the casts as i said before i do enjoy them despite the criticism -_-

oh, i totally didnt realize each match were bo3. i guess it makes more sense, to separate those that deserve to advance from those that will attempt a lot of cheese

It might be cool if the Korean leagues did they group stages in bo3s like this too--seems more robust. It might discourage newer players if they feel they have no chance to "luck" their way through a group though, and 10-15 games is a lot to broadcast.

haha we coincidentally mentioned the same topic

There are several reasons for not involving other sites. It's another set of people to organize, another set of people who must be in games to worry about lag. Some of the games couldn't be cast because the casters lagged, and we have referee/caster double-role people like Chill and Rage, which 3rd party sites wouldn't be able to do. 3rd party sites also might be pissed if they randomly couldn't cast despite preparing for it and advertising for it due to lag. We also don't know the quality of the casts unless we evaluate each site against each other, and we don't have time to set it up or organize with all the other stuff we have to worry about with players.

It's really easy to say "maybe you shouldn't have set it up last minute" but again, we didn't plan to cast the Ro32. If I could travel back in time and tell myself there'd be interest in radio casts for Ro32 I would, but unfortunately I don't have a time machine. We set it up because people wanted it, so would you rather it be the way it is nothing at all? I think it's better something than nothing.

Koalla, I'm a blue name, so I can't delete posts. I have no idea why your post was deleted, but I would assume it's got to do with the fact that you were talking about the sponsor which we're not revealing for a while still. It's not too much criticism either, and we're in discussion with other broadcasters, but nothing is finalized yet.

You say maybe we shouldn't have organized it last minute, and perhaps you're right. We could just have not broadcasted it as was planned. The first qualifiers were also cast, but we just didn't broadcast those casts, as they were more for troubleshooting purposes. The plan was for this cast to be the same, but at the last moment we decided that we'll let you guys listen in to our "private" casts.

As for letting other people broadcast it, the issue is much much more complicated than you think. There's ownership of the broadcast issues, sponsorship issues, extra observer spots required, finding a trustworthy observer, etc. etc. We are discussing having the TSL broadcast on more than just TL, but the issue is much bigger than you'd think.

So basically, it's not that we don't appreciate criticism, it's more that we know what's wrong at the moment, and we knew it would be wrong before we started the casts. So if you want to give constructive criticism, comment on the casters and what they can do to make the casts more enjoyable. The technical side will be fixed for the proper TSL casts.
