TSL1 intro still probably one of the best and most HYPE intros I've ever seen.

In fact.. I think I will go and watch it again now for the 100th time

TSL 1 and TSL 2 were so hype. TSL 2 had so many story lines and huge moments. Good times, TSL3 was the only SC2 TSL I remember unfortunately

TSL 1 was a woahdude experience. First time seeing something like it outside Korea in any E-sport.
TSL 2 I have stronger memories of the games, rivalries though. We got a real show of our 2 foreigners who'd been or still were in korea, a canceled CC, Mondragon waiting in the final. TSL 2 probably my favorite of em.

Yeah, both were epic, but the "down down down" intro was just too good!

I Think in TSL1 we reached something like 100k viewers at the time. Probably Millions if you combine vods etc.. those were the days man... early Starcraft time was incredible

It was insane how Mondragon was eliminated in both tournaments by a Protoss, given how legendary his ZvP was.

Was so surprised that Hoobastank actually makes great music since everyone ever only knew "The Reason"

TSL 2 of course. I might have enjoyed reading the Live report thread of the Ladder qualifying round more than the actual tournament. Which is saying something cus that was amazing too.
+ Show Spoiler +
Watching the deciding match between NonY and IdrA where NonY went center 3 gate vs bunker expanding was the highlight of TSL for me. I was like, no way this is gonna work... oh my...

Also the finals vs Mondragon where NonY came back from being down 2 games was a great way to end what was my fav TSL.

TSL 2 and TSL 3 might have been the most hyped tournament of their respective games internationally.

2 >>> 3 >>> 4 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> 5

1 was before my time. 2 was great fun with the qualification method, the fact that it was a true best of the foreigners event, plus it was BW. 3 was pretty hype given the timing and the format. 4 was OK but a dropoff in fun as the SC2 and Korea/rest of world novelty had gone, then 5 just had way too much of a break, the format was dull and it just seemed like another tournament, don't think I watched a single game as a result

Made me have pizza and beer pretty much every evening ahahaha.

Absolutely legendary and best foreign tournament ever imo. And NonY coming back out of almost nowhere, unreal.

TSL3 was in my top 3 of all time esports events. The art and music truly gave an epic feeling. There was this storyline of have the foreigners finally caught up to the Koreans. There was also so many fan favorites to cheer for, qxc, naniwa, thorzain. It also felt like the entire SC2 community was just all in on this amazing event. Things feel more disconnected and less hype nowadays.
