Biggest surprised though have to go the Tester, he's a monster protoss and not qualifying 2 times in a row is hella shocking. I can't believe HuK is 2nd on the poll. He's just overhyped. He's not that good compared to the koreans.

I only voted for NaDa over Tester, just because Tester failed last time, and the pressure might have gotten to him a little bit too much, compared to NaDa coming off of a RO8 performance. Even though Tester has been wrecking in practice and in-house tournaments, he has turned results comparable to Clide, who was knocked out in the RO64 convincingly after a RO16 exit in GSL1. I think he is currently stuck with the "Good in practice" tag.

How can Huk be second? - Im a huge Huk-fan, and i hoped he would qualify, and i hoped he would even pass r64, but its not surprising that he didn't I would count Loner as a semi-upset. Out of the alternatives, not counting Ensnare etc.

Inca, Huk, loner, and select not too big of a surprise. Great players but I feel there is something lacking. I really can't be surprised at Tester since I haven't seen him play in like 2 months and he did get knocked out last qualifier. NaDa super surprising since he looked really good and has the experience. Sangho was super safe so I thought he would be a shoo-in.

#1 for me is easily Ensnare, and he's not even an option. Otherwise, I'd put InCa and SangHo at the top of the list, just because along with Ensnare, they play consistently solid, so all 3 of them I'm surprised they didn't make it. After those 3, NaDa and SeleCT.

Nada has the name, Nada has the fame. But something is not really clicking right now. Boxer is playing well, but nothing to write home about. There's a mass of 10-20 Terrans, and none of them stand-out clearly. If I have to choose, I will choose MVP and Foxer right now, they impressed me much more than Nada and Boxer. Though I noticed Nada's signature macro style. If it clicks for him, he can be a stand-out Terran once again. Coming back to the original question, I was disappointed with Tester's elimination. I am a big fan, but even besides that, Protoss are doing horrible. The only stand-out player for me is Tester among protoss, so I was hoping he can win despite disadvantages of race.

NaDa and Loner not making the cut also took me back, but not as much as Sang-Ho. Tester's play has been shaky at best in SC2, it isn't surprising when he fails to qualify time after time. No offense to the legend that is Tester, but this poll isn't, "Who did you want to win the most?".

The reason why I think it's unsurprising that SangHo is that since we only get one vote, he's being overshadowed by Tester. They're both great Protoss players (who are even on the same team), so when it comes down to a poll like this, it turns to who's more well known, which would be Tester.

Plus they're both foreigners (yes, I realise Select is actually Korean - you know what I mean) with only mixed success in non-Korean tournaments. I'm just as disappointed as everyone else that they didn't qualify, but you can't call this an upset when there was no reason to expect it in the first place. Either of them getting to the round of 64 would've been a pleasant surprise, as it was for Haypro and Ret. Wow, low post count but actually makes sense?

everyone on this list is an upset, do half of you people know what an upset is? its when someone who is expected to qualify, does not. i expected everyone on this list to qualify because they are all extremely good players and are very entertaining to watch. but they didnt, UPSET! stop acting like huk doesn't deserve to be on this list, because he is actually good, and he does work hard to be where he is at. He was a huge upset because hes a crowd favorite and because he is good, just like everyone else on this list We know what an upset is, but just because we WANT HuK to qualify (as do i) doesnt mean he is expected to, and I'm sure most people agree Huk had a small chance to qualify. I'm not bashing Huk, hes a good player, but judging from his play lately I would put nada or inca or even tester over him. I voted for HuK simply because I was upset that he didn't make it, not because I considered it an upset. I also thought I would be far in the minority for picking him with Nada, Tester, Inca, Loner, and Sangho all on the list. This is more the general consensus from what Ive seen. People that cry "HUk Basher!!!" are the same people who pointlessly attacked InControl for saying Select shouldnt use the same BO every match, even though he admitted select was a very good player.
