Bisu really is closer to a bonjwa than either Jaedong or Flash because of the huge change he brought about. He changed PvZ from doing dumb shit into modern strategy, and had some notable PvT innovations and massive success in all 3 matchups. Jaedong and Flash did nothing like this.
Also, I hope Jaedong does something awesome like 2cm all-in doom drop.

Yeah, Flash totally didn't basically invent modern TvP or anything...

Or TvZ, or TvT!

Same with Jaedong in ZvZ, ZvT, ZvP. :o

hmm Flash did not invent modern TvP, Flash modified Modern TvP is more accurate.

nowhere near what Bisu did for PvZ.

anyways mortality will probably write a 100000000 words post about that so I will let him do the talking

Bisu's PvZ modified changes made by previous Protoss (Daezang, Nalra). I'm sure this has been talked about before. But yeah he was "more bonjwa" than Flash or JD right now.... whatever makes you feel better Lightwip.

Bisu's PvZ was based off of changes BeSt[HyO] did to Daezang and Nal_rA's style. lol.

Whoever invented it, Bisu made it viable. This is something Daezang, Nal_rA, and anyone else involved failed to do.
Nada copied a lot from Boxer, but that in no way undermines what he did. It's not the idea, it's the fact that he made it work that counts.

So why isn't nal'rA bonjwa for inventing 12/13/14nex and FFE? Maybe it's because being a bonjwa has little to do with making a change to one matchup, otherwise a lot of people would qualify because of those requirements.

"Jaedong and Flash did nothing like this."

This is completely made up. Jaedong and Flash have impacted their race overall far more than Bisu has impacted his.

ehhhhhhhh, not completely true. It feels weird to defend Bisu ... but he definitely started the trend of modern PvZ openings, including forge FE (why do certain commentators call every forge FE the "Bisu Build"? They're not totally stupid... there's a good reason for that.) And he played his sair/DT style very well.

His other matchups are not really thaaaat revolutionary though, I guess, while Flash/JD have really changed all three matchups they play a lot. But I think Bisu really defined modern PvZ (which was pretty necessary to beat Savior), and should be given credit for such.

Bisu did revolutionize PvZ, but that's about the extent of it. Flash and Jaedong completely changed every matchup they play.

Mmmm I wasn't suppose to be writing PR this month but some things came up and my replacement will have to start next month. I'll wait until OSL semis are over then I'll release a PR - hope that's okay with everyone!

As I suspected Stork has the skill required to take down JD, but choked when it mattered the most.

Actually I'd rather you wait a whole month then.

To only include the semi-finals would give next month's PR even less meaning

Yeah and fantasy has the skills to beat Flash and Light to beat JD. Both choked.

Uhm... Stork was one cannon away from winning the series? His wins in that series were way more impressive than Jaedong's too? Maybe that's what he was trying to say.

The series actually felt, to me at the very least, as if some random decent Zerg was playing against Stork and not Jaedong. 1 build order instant win 1 win through sunken spam + major mistake on Stork's part + another ling win because Stork stubbornly refused to build a 2nd cannon. In the 2 games that Stork won he clearly outplayed Jaedong, with JD looking slightly out of it in both games. Of course this is very simplified, but you get my drift.

Jaedong won fair and square, but the way he did it wasn't Jaedong-esque at all. Don't even try to compare that to Flash vs Fantasy plz.

Not to speak for him, but I think he probably wanted to say that, as suspected, Stork has the skill required to beat JD, but he choked when it mattered most.

Jaedong and Flash have won way more titles, so w/e. When considering bonjwas that's really what it comes down to.

Also I think flash had a longer lasting effect on TvP than Bisu on PvZ. Bisu's biggest innovation was corsair DT, and it sorta got figured out eventually,. now its just another strat that some protoss use every now and then. Flash changed the way terrans approach the entire matchup tho, making it less about vultures kill probes ---> timing push --> probes dead = protoss has less stuff --> win and more about stuff like splitting the map in half, aggressive expansions, and upgrade focused.

Man I hate it when people say this. the forge FE is NOT the bisu build, its been around longer and was considered standard longer than he's been around.

The bisu build is forge FE --> mass sairs + DTs.

:D yes! I love reading your PRs, so impatient for the next one . Might be hard for you though because everyones been relatively inactive this month.

How long does it usually take you to write a PR btw? And most importantly, how long after the other semis can we expect it?
