Stork has no PvZ consistency. For every win against Jaedong there's a loss to Shine, s2, Hydra, etc. If he plays Jaedong on a good day he might win 3-2. On most days Jaedong wins 3-0 easily.

It's amazing what these two people are doing. When zergs were dominating the league about six months ago, Flash goes on a tear. Now, that terrans are dominating, JD is #1 ELO. What's happening around here?

When zergs were dominating a year ago (double ZvZ finals) Flash wasn't even close to Ro8.

Not even close to Ro8 as in going 1-2 in the Ro16 of both the MSL and OSL? Yeah that's miles away.

And you are missing his point anyway (even if the time frame he stated is wrong), while Flash was not fantastic throughout the whole swarm season he definitely started his dominance while it was still going on.

Flash went on a tear at the end of Zerg domination, and then into a period of Terran domination which hasn't ended yet. (Terran league performance for non-Flash players lagged behind because the old maps were used for the early stages of the league.)
My strategy is to fork people.

I believe that Flash will do what Jaedong's doing on Terran favored maps. His confidence is just that high. Even if you bring back zerg favored maps, Flash is going to whip out his ultimate-turtle and still maintain his dominant play. Just like Jaedong reached his ZvT peak on terran-dominated maps.

We are witnessing something truly special people!!! Starcraft's been solved. And there are two different solutions. Sadly toss is nowhere in the picture.

SC has been "solved" more times than you could possibly imagine. I don't think we've hit the absolute limit yet.

we are still quite far from the absolute limit in my opinion.

there are perfectly viable builds and very powerful ones at that that even Jaedong decide not to use because they are too A.P.M intensive

So much emphasis on Stork as the 'last' hope

Free, also has a winning record against the Dong and has a much better PvZ. Not to mention Free beat Flash in an impressive game most recently.

I hope both Free and Stork meet in the finals, the chance of that is like 3%, but its about a time we had a protoss champ

I hope Free moves up in the rankings. His ELO has been bouncing around between ranks 3 and 6 now for at least a month, maybe longer. Right now he's at #4.

PR:
1/2: Decided by MSL finals. Obviously JD and Flash go here.
3. Fantasy (MSL semis, good play vs Zero in WCG, all-kill in GSM)
4. Free (IMO the clear #1 Protoss right now, should be ranked #4 if he beats Zero imo, leading 1-0 right now)
5. Zero (ridiculous GSM run, strong games against Fantasy, should take #4 if he beats Free)
6. Light (ridiculously strong TvZ performance carried him into MSL semis, where he was a hair's breath from knocking out JD)
7. Kal (welcome back to the land of the living)
8-10. ?????

ForGG might deserve mention, at least for his TvZ and TvP... which weren't enough to carry him. Sea looked so good coming into this month, but now...? Lately he's been getting tossed around. Did he run into a wall against tougher competition? Leta was sneaking up in there, but Flash has been tossing him around. Stork was riding sooooooo much momentum coming into the month and is leading on Sea, but other than that victory, this month has not been good for him (won vs Kal, lost to Free, lost 2-0 to Pure, up 1 game vs Sea... in special leagues, won vs Lomo, lost vs BackHo and Baby). Effort was looking good, but lately seems to be taking it in the ass. And Action, our last OSL quarter-finalist, is really struggling right now.

Hard month for a PR. Top ranks not too hard, but after that things disintegrate.

Sea activated his counterpart, Dumbo Sung. That's why Jaedong and Stork owned him.

Maybe because Flash himself ended it?

Plus Fantasy and Leta.

I mean continuing into the future. It's always been the case that the best players of the current season are the most likely finalists of next season, but lately the number of finals containing Flash and/or JD has been startling.

I think they won't meet even in this OSL because of quality of their opponents, but we'll see, hm.

I think if Stork advances and plays JD, then Stork can advance instead, but I don't see Flash being knocked out.

In a bo5? If stork beats JD in a bo5 I would be very very impressed.

Stork could definitely beat Jaedong. The man is currently on a 7-game winning streak against him (yes, I'll count losses on Tears of the Protoss and Sin Chupung-Ryeong as wins).

No matter who'd win, a Bo5 between Stork vs Jaedong is probably the only thing I'd like to see more right now than Flash vs Jaedong. Except maybe Stork vs Flash.

This is a joke? Stork is not even close to taking the best ZvP player in a bo5. As much as I would like to see a reemergence of Stork and for him to capture his second OSL the only person who seems capable of stopping JD right now is Flash (and vice-versa).

And Stork does not have a winning streak against JD if you count WCG grand finals.

You have to understand, JD and Stork are really good friends and practice with each other constantly. Yes his ZvP isn't great when compared to tosses, but if there is ANY toss that knows how to play JD, its Stork.

I have confidence in Stork's ability to take games off the best players in any proleague game, but with his current PvZ condition, Jaedong's current ZvP condition and it being a bo5, I have little confidence he will even get two wins.

I believe Bisu on the other hand can take Jaedong in a bo5.

bisu is the last protoss where i would put my eggs in a basket to beat jaedong in bo5.
he makes utterly stupid mistakes that make you bash your head against the wall. (zealot wall anybody?)

no, stork, kal or free are the protoss's i give the most credit for when it comes to challenging jaedong in games.
kal played AMAZING p v z, it was just a shame that it was P v J.
free has beat jaedong in bo3 i believe. or was it bo5 in a previous MSL where the archon + zealot push first emerged.
stork is stork. brilliant tactician and amazing toss player. still relevant besides his manga/anime addiction.

im hoping for an epic finals for MSL.
flash.. jaedong.. give us more games like the ones u two played on rush hour 3, odd eye, etc etc.

Bisu? Yah i agree, there is no way I would favor the suit in his current form. Bisu has and always will be a player that relies on his mechanics to win games. He is not someone like Stork who attempts to take the momentum early through intelligent play and choke the rest of the game out. Current Bisu does not have the mechanics do stand up to JD's ZvP.

Sure we can quote the last game they played as an example of how close it would be, but I think it is a poor example. Yes a thoroughly enjoyed the epicness of that PvZ, but personally it wasn't all that more epic than Kal vs JD the series. Nah the only toss capable of taking JD in a Bo5 is Stork. Stork is an extremely intelligent player, with an arsenal of builds he can create specifically to exploit his opponent. That quality is why he isn't consistent overall, but has good records against the top players.

You all should watch tasteless interview tasteless gives a really good comparison between Stork and Bisu

Yeah I don't see any protoss beating Jaedong in a bo5 but I would say that about almost any player right now except for Flash .

I am super pumped to see the MSL finals again between Jaedong and Flash. Will Jaedong get revenge (please do) or will Flash win again? Sigh I can't wait :D
