Jokes aside, imo you complaining about it is worse than plexa using it, since it's used commonly, and in no way disrispectful to homosexuals (at least I don't mean it that way when I use it, and I'm pretty sure plexa doesn't either). Like many words, it has found a niche in Starcraft, where it's original (ok second original) meaning is twisted to fit it's sc usage. Yes, it probably was first used in a derogatory fashion, but more in the goal of describing something than to actually insult homosexual people. There's lots of words like that, and we still use them. Is it ok? Probably not, but it's already a tradition now, changing it would make us loose a part of our vocabulary, and with it, a part of the past. Ironically, if you bring that up, why not also bring up the kidnaping of the word gay from english, and totally ruining it's original meaning - beyond any recognition. It's sad that the only way people know what "gay" really means is when they learn about the meaning of the homosexual "gay", and someone points out that it really ment happy/marry in the beginning. Anyway, this is offtopic. We want an update when the Icon changes! :D And this time, no winged monkeys please. | ||

Like I said before, I think that if you are gay and you think it's wrong, that means you are being oversensitive over something that is clearly NOT meant to be offensive to homosexuals. In terms of slang, it means lame. That association is negative, yes, but it's not like every time the person means that being gay is lame. It's a common social slang word, get over it, there is no point in getting your panties in a bunch every time you hear it. | ||
