Although it’s only the second week of the OSL, every game in the group stages is tension-packed. These players, guys who practice for 10 or more hours a day year-round, have three games in which to prove themselves. That’s it—three chances. I want to take this opportunity to wish every player the very best of luck… except Hwasin, Justin, DarkElf, Iris, Nada, oov, Up, Light, Flash, and Casy.

Ordinarily I view TvT with the same enthusiasm as a rectal examination, but this game is different. Light has been showing off his new-and-improved TvT as of late, and Flash is the most exciting newcomer in either Starleague. And then there’s Reach’s comment about him:
“I haven’t seen anyone improve so greatly in such little time as Flash. There aren’t many players that I consider to be good, but Flash is one of them. Honestly, when I play versus him I lose a lot” (LosingID8, source).
My concern isn’t Flash’s talent or skill. It’s his nerves. He’s the youngest player to ever make a Starleague, and I’m betting that the pressure—and Light’s current form, of course—is too much for him.
Group B
Nada (T) vs. Bisu[Shield] (P)

There’s no denying that this is the match of the evening, but just how good is it going to be? Bisu has shown inconsistent PvT for, well, his entire career, and while Nada has always had strong TvP, + Show Spoiler +
his meltdown last night in the MSL has caused me to lose some confidence in him.
I’m not going to declare one player or the other to be the favorite until we see at which positions the two players spawn. Fantasy can be a dream come true or a total nightmare depending upon the starting positions.
Group C
Shark[gm] (Z) vs. Justin (T)

To be blunt, I don’t care about this game. And for once, it’s not a problem with the map or the matchup. I don’t care about this game because neither player has the skill to win this OSL. Out of the 16 players in the OSL, in fact, I rate these two as the least likely to win the whole thing. But because I feel a horrible compulsion to hedge a bet one way or the other—psychologists, I believe, call it a gambling addiction—I’ve bet my roommate (loser buys Odin Sphere) that Justin wins in 21 minutes or less.
Group D
Casy (T) vs. Sea.Up (T)

I can’t believe I’m saying this, but there are two TvTs that interest me in the same evening. Casy and Up have both been called the Neo Emperor, with Casy utilizing the micro-intensive play for which Boxer is so famous and Up employing the off-the-wall strategies for which Boxer is so infamous. Aside from the ever-fearsome Hery[Hyo], Casy hasn’t won a TvT since his 0-3 loss to Iris, which makes Up the favorite, at least in my mind. These two are just so unpredictable that the only bet I’m willing to hedge is that whoever is winning after the eight minute mark will ultimately emerge victorious.
Nada and Bisu on Fantasy... tiem to see who can adapt the best. I hope it doesnt boil down to entirely pure luck, and we have a good game to watch with lots of momentum shifts. Nice writeup.
I believe I hate TvT more than you, and 90% of other TvT haters. I mean, I really can't watch it. And even I am excited about Up vs Casy. Should be a fun night considering there are so many players in there that have something to prove.

haha I had to look at the OSL player list to fully recognize the pattern there. At first I was like "o_o I thought you liked Casy"...go me -_-
