Starcraft and other (E)sports are about entertainment. its about winning and loosing. about emotions of the players. the hard work behind it. the story it drives. the growth of oneself within or without the game. its passion, freindship, love and life.

As I see it, you did everything right. Youve fought, youve won, youve had fun, youve grown, you have entertained alot of people for a very long time. youve succeded in every way.

im not huge fan of yours or any sc2 player in general - i just like the game. but everytime i saw you play, i was totally drawn into. i cant really say why but i could see you determination and focus and that gave me that feeling of getting hooked by your game and personality. not all players have that. especially the koreans dont have that cause of somewhat lack or supression of emotions.

I never followed you a lot, but ever since I started playing this game we all enjoy I knew the name "Jinro". Thanks for the wonderful games over the years. Good luck in the future big guy.

man you made my days following the Progaming games....really, after that not even Naniwa gives me so much entertaining for being in GSL.

I have not followed anything in progaming scene until sc2 came out...i'm sure i'll remember the TL kickass Gorilla !!

Hey Jinro,

Me and my girldfriend started to watch SC2 first season on GSL when SC2 was released. We thought it was so exciting to have a fellow Swede to cheer for! Your two runs to Ro4 was epic! My girlfriend even designed a Jinro T-shirt and sent to Artosis and Tasteless handsome nerd page, unfortunately it didnt make the site but she wore the T-shirt when we attended Dreamhack the next summer. If you want one just tell me and we will send you one

Thanks to you I got my eyes up for e-sport and even though Im a crappy player myself I really enjoy watching it now.

Can't even begin to say how sad this is... One of my favorite Terran players and personalities. I'm really happy I got to meet him @MLG Columbus this year and to have his signature on my keyboard(I asked to have it signed but he was at a table and he didn't want a line, so I said I understand and thanked him anyways; as I walked away, about 20 feet later, a hand touched my shoulder and Jinro was there, he said "you were so nice I had to get up and come sign it!"). Great memories and Great Games^^ Best of luck and hope we see you around!

Your still in my book the most succesful non-korean player in GSL, arguably the best foreigner ever (during your days), that's something to be very proud of !! I hope you can still enjoy yourself and find some.. rest in your future. Sc2 is incredibly stressful and not putting up results must be insanely annoying and mind-tearing.

To me your a legend still. You will always be remembered as the first foreigner to reach semi-finals, even doing it twice!

You made history here, you made people fall in love with Team Liquid (at least i did), and u showed us the power of underdogs. I remember before your MLG days, where people were wondering what u were even doing in a team like TL, seeing as you hadn't put up any great results or even been close to. Your a true inspiration and eventho it was quite some time i've heard from you i will never forget how amazing the first GSL's was, because of you!

Those were days i watched every damn sc2 tourneys and you were there. Jinro you were the only terran that I wouldn't mind to see you win back then!!! Sad to see you go but like nazgul said, I personally think that it is a good decision too.
