And while my heart truly wants DRG to win, I think he has come such a long way that he deserves a GSL gold, my mind is saying that Genius will take it. Genius has had all the time in the world to prepare while DRG has had to fly to MLG, lose sleep and practice time. And Genius has played like a beast, definitely the most solid Toss I've seen in ages, while DRG looked quite mortal at times. There is one factor that can't be taken into calculation though, the mental games caused by the two being very close friends and team mates, and the incredible resilience of DRG. At MLG Providence, despite food poisoning DRG went deep and had a 3rd Place finish. At Blizzard cup despite being in several tough situations he pulled out clutch victories to advance deeper and also to make one of the most epic comebacks possible, going from 0-3 to 3-3 against MMA and narrowly losing the final. And at MLG, despite being knocked down to the loser's bracket early, DRG pressed onwards, defeating everyone in his path, and despite being 3-1 in an extended series against Parting, he made an amazing 3-4 comeback to advance and finally reached the final. It seems like DRG is good at making it to the top, but without never actually touching the peak, but, how many times can that truly happen before he really wins? Whatever happens, this final should be epic and honestly can't wait for it! | ||
