great article guys! It just seemed rude to me. It didn't seem like he was calling it like he was seeing it. He lumped all NA players together-- personally I think that calls for some political correctness. He just made a personal (and if you want to cut this political correctness crap also a true) consideration based on the recent tournaments. He didn't take away anything from any NA player by saying that.

huh, so apparently mean on Hero. but i think it's objectively correct poor hero
another point, Hasu was much better than solid as a caster. i'd put him on par with could, just below grubby

The problem's not so much Wax's "calling it like he sees it".
It's much more that he constantly acts like he speaks for "the fans" and he makes really personal attacks that come off like they're written by an anti-social kid that hates all the popular kids because they're just so normal and don't realize how great and not boring he is. To wit: >> "MoMan: Europe's iNcontrol? I'll leave it to other people to fight over who that's more insulting to and move on."
??????????????????????????????????????????????????????

However you way you wax it, people from similar cultures have similar playstyles, similar training lifestyles, and similar results, and often associate with each other voluntarily. Have you heard of this old competition called the Olympics?

Awesome podcast with cloud. I hope there will be a lot more audio podcast from TL in the future.

I really don't like it that you guys bash Hero, he has obvious nerve problems and he most probably reads the main page news. Bashing him on his teams main page sure as hell is not making him any more comfortable.

Really odd to me seeing Team Liquid writers calling out their own player as a loser at HSC.. Yeah, Hero didn't perform well, but he's on your team!
If the Teamliquid writers praise TL for their 2011 performance they get bashed. If the Teamliquid writers call a TL member out for underperforming they get bashed too.
Kinda odd imo :x

Totally agree with this, there are lots of NA pros that can give anyone a run for their money.

"Impressing neither with his personality" ... but what does that have to do with how he performed at Homestory cup? That seemed like an insult to me. If i were HerO i would be insulted by that. Ok he's shy..... but that's just how he is and you can't change that. He might of done poorly at Homestory cup but to bring his personality into this is stepping over the line imo. Support him instead of trashing his personality.
Not everyone is a MC, iNcontroL, Grubby etc.

Amazing stream quality...? I didn't see 1080p anywhere, let alone 720p. And little to no bells and whistles. No sir, great it was not.
Also, Thorzain should definitely be in the "clear losers" section. He lost to Incontrol (don't kill me for saying what was on everyone's mind), that's just awful. Poor Spoon Terran.

Well this could be true but if you think about it ThorZaIN has been in a slump lately so that wasn't like a huge surprise. But losing to iNcontroL sure was (even if he didn't play to his full potential).
HerO has been impressive lately with 1st at DH and 2nd at NASL. So i guess this is why HerO was put in the "losers" section since it was far from expected. He was expected to be "up there" so to speak.

Nobody is trashing his personality.
He didn't win any fans via personality because he didn't cast/do anything to garner attention. He didn't win any fans from his playing because he played terribly. That's what he's saying.

I guess one could say that SEA is weaker

No......
"Impressing neither with his personality"
That is what he's saying. Stop trying to twist it. He's basically saying that HerO didn't impress with his personality because he's shy and introverted. And he knows this. He knows that HerO won't cast any games or do anything crazy. We all know HerO is shy. So i find it highly inappropriate to state the obvious in this case because it isn't needed. The only thing that can come out of this is that HerO reads this and feels offended because it's his personality and he can't do anything about it. It doesn't have anything to do with the game and i don't know why you would write this about a player on your team.
It's like: "HerO...... you should be ashameeeeeeed i rage at you because of your results so i must punish you by talking about your personality!!!!!"
HerO: "sad puppyface.... goes hides in the corner"

Nice write-up, but, a suggestion:
"Smaller is Baller."
that is all.

In the spirit of HSC4, this article spotlights a loser. Not at all who I thought would be in that section.

It was such a great tournament, much props to all who made it possible. Nice wrap-up too.
