That "Montreal Arena, which seats 70,000" thing made my eyes water a bit, thinking about what it would be like to be there with 69,999 other sc2 fans. Maybe for the circuit finale next year. ^^

Pretty pumped about MLG, but a little sad about the way that the tournament brackets are working. I likely won't be seeing many of my favourite players play until Day 2 or Day 3. While the MLG pool play system needs a proper tune-up, I'm not sure that this is the way of handling it. What it does do, is shift focus over to the open-bracket players, which is where a lot of the favourites to win the tournament are. Personally, I find open bracket play much more exciting. I think it would be interesting if the entire tournament was decided by 3 levels of open bracket play (ie; you had to lose 3 times to be removed from the tournament) and the top 24 players were seeded into a championship bracket that way. If the prize and the prestige is large enough, you would think top players would continue to enter these tournaments even without the seeding potential. I think the amount of Code S Koreans participating in this tournament is enough evidence of that.

Holy! I cant friggin wait! I actually thought this was last weekend until I got online and felt so disappointed (lol). Anyways I really dont care who wins (Though IdrA would be nice(But MMA would totally be better( and HuK would make me cry tears of joy))). Huge let down that Day9 cant come, but lets think of the good things. YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Man this tournament would be something epic if they hadn't completely botched the format. Basically a free win for idra since everyone else will be dead tired. And yet people who have actually won an MLG (MVP??) are open bracket lol.

I think the fact that this MLG is being held in a city called Providence is quite fitting,
For a definition of Providence for those that don't know off the top of their head (seriously, why do i know this :|).

EPIC HYPE! So looking forward to seeing how this event turns out!
Crazy to see how many skilled players with interesting stories will be there, even besides the ones in the article there's Marineking, Jinro & Tyler, Hero, Leenock, Losira, Ganzi... it's simply insane!

edit: and MVP, of course, who in my opinion is the favorite to take it all - doesn't matter if he's in the open bracket, his skills are just off the charts! (and i'm not even an mvp fan...)
