I was inspired to go watch the Violet-HiyA game, and just wanted to add a note: I think if Violet had upgraded his melee so the DTs he used (instead of HT, not sure why since DT is more min-intensive, unless he was originally thinking to go DA when he thought he was ahead?) were getting 1HK on the marines then that could have turned the game at least a little. Though the points about HiyA's build pressuring the econ of course mean maybe he didn't have money for the upgrades? Anyway it was a great game but I thought it showed some poor decision-making by Violet as well as the unorthodox from HiyA. | ||

The reason he went DTs instead of HTs was because Storm hadn't finished researching yet, but he needed something to try to stop the waves of MnM advancing on him. Remember that when you go 2 base Carrier, you don't get a Citadel nor a Templar Archives, so he needed to spend all of his resources trying to get to HT tech and just trying to stay alive. | ||
